Our best goal for the year?
Contested mark from Stephen Milne, handpass to Jack Newnes, pinpoint 50 metre pass to Rhys Stanley, handpass to running Jamie Cripps - straight through the centre!
Re: Our best goal for the year?
It was great. I preferred Saad to Stanley against Carlton more though.

Started with a cr@p umpiring decision for deliberate.
Then a Falafel too scarred to take his shot.
Squared up to a target.
Then Milney did his bit and set up our goal of the year.

I wish St Kilda would play Etihad Stadium this way more often. So much time wasted always going along the boundaries with every chance of a turn over. Someitmes I think a time and motion expert would enhance their productivity in getting the ball towards goal.

Re: Our best goal for the year?
maybe we need a top ten- or best goal from each player
I would say that was a great team goal- or play.

Re: Our best goal for the year?
There really is 2 categories here.
1. Best goal by an individual with an act of brilliance.
AND
2. Best team goal with slick skills and poise.
That goal on Saturday was definitely up there in the 2nd category

Newnes, Stanley and Cripps probably would have been down at Casey Fields.Superboot wrote:May I add, somewhat gratuitously, that under Ross Lyon that goal could never have happened.

Really enjoyed the blistering pace of Saad and Stanley.....at the time it looked like we had uncovered an exciting new weapon..

This. My favourite goal of the year.savatage wrote:It was great. I preferred Saad to Stanley against Carlton more though.
There was another great Stanley goal against Hawthorn where he started at half back, burnt his opponent running towards the F50 then got the handball receive and ran to 30m then kicked the goal. I remember thinking at the time where the hell did Stanley come from and they showed the goal on Insider which showed it all develop.
