Walk Of Fame

We just got an email telling us we've been selected to walk on to the ground on Saturday as part of the Walk Of Fame.
We weren't going to go to the game as I'm working nightshift on Friday night but I'm not going to be able to tell my daughter we're not going.
Anyone else here get the invite ?

That's what I thought. Was wondering about the OP and getting the yes but not being able to go. Plans change I guess but seemed strange to register when you can't go.

Yes, you had to register. My wife registered without my knowledge. I think she figured I'd somehow make it happen ! The joys of a shiftworker:-)

200 lucky Members will take part in a Walk of Fame, onto the hallowed turf of Etihad Stadium before Saturday's Clash against GWS.

12 years old and it is already regarded as "hallowed turf".

That said, I've never even stepped onto it. Except once when I attended an arena rock show. Does that count? Strange considering I have been attending games since our first one in 2000 against Sydney.

I'd like for them to give us the opportunity to have a kick on the ground after the final siren. Just like "old times"

I don't quite understand how a bunch of supporters walking on the astroturf part of the ground , from one pocket to the other is a " walk of fame "
