But if you actually break them down most of them were in the last quarter when the game was shot. Like I've said before players like Goddard know how to make the stats sheet look good. FFS! I could sit behind the play and take the loose ball or recieve the ball and kick it away for 600k. He's an elite players arsehole.

Why is he a troll for stating a fact? We are entering a rebuilding phase without bottoming out completely, therefore you cannot reasonably expect us to play finals over the next few years at the very least.

That's a fair point, but will the improvement from Siposs, Stanley, etc offset the aging of guys like Riewoldt, Hayes, Kosi, etc?

We've got some good players coming through, but I don't think we've got any great players coming through. And that is a major concern because as I've said before, I think realistically only Goddard will be part of our next premiership tilt.

Very disappointing end to Finals shot. Team only switched on for a quarter. Pressure and desperation well short of
what they can put out. Would have preferred some man-on-man footy - Cats got away from tackles and
spread far too easily. We need a 100 kg backman and another ruck. Someone needs to ask Koschitzke if
he's up to it. Someone needs to ask Goddard if he really wants to be there.
At least we can knock Carlton out in 2 weeks time.

No you are just trying to create an argument, as always. What I am saying is, let's get rid of a bloke that cost's us 600k but gives us about 250k of value. Even Leigh Mathews said last night he is at the cross roads. He said that he hasn't seen Goddard play any brand of hard contested footy for two years. You don't have to be Leight Mathews to come to that conclusion it is all there for the avearge punter to see. What was frustrating was that watching him for 3 quarters just sit back off packs, not throw himself at the ball like all his team mates around him, and when is teammates were furiously scrapping for the ball on the ground he was just standing over them wait for the ball to come out. Watching him just walk around, not running to contests and injecting himself the way and supposed elite player is supposed to. When was the last time we could all say that he was the difference. He's holding back the team IMO.
