Who kicked the ball
The kick that went to Roo was horrible, just wanted to know who the player was.
For Afl level it was pretty ordinary but i guess our foot skills to Roo have not been the best
over the years.

Re: Who kicked the ball
We've been kicking balls just short of him for the last two years!
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Re: Who kicked the ball
Yeh, that's what I was thinking when it first happened but saw the replay on Monday and was surprised to see that it was Dal
That just goes to show that we shouldn't be bagging the younger players for making mistakes every now and then.
Imo, Roo could've either dived on his chest and copped a bit of mcg turf in his face, or he could've tried to keep moving towards the ball which would have meant that he'd be unbalanced in the final action of bending to mark it. Instead he slid like a tennis player and tried to be balanced in his final action of attempting to mark it. I'm not sure he'd be trying that again in a hurry.

Elton, like Roo's goal kicking, has become less straight as the years have gone by.stevie wrote:Roo has had more balls at his feet than Elton Johns had on his chin
And like Roo's goal kicking, I'm sure Elton has been known to spray quite a few of those balls.

Re: Who kicked the ball
wasn't so much the kick, it was just that roos heel slid on the turf, which made him naturally try to get upright to stabalise himself
He locked his knee as he was sliding, but when his studs gripped, his momentum kept his body going, and his knee was locked so it hyper-extended.
but yeah, it is odd to see dal not hit someone on their chest.

wtf? the kick was terrible. was way to low as usual. was at foot level when should have been chest level.paddy wrote:wasn't so much the kick, it was just that roos heel slid on the turf, which made him naturally try to get upright to stabalise himself

Should never be at chest level. Should be just below the waist. Knee level is good too.
