That wouldn't surprise me. I think he got Dowler down to get a look at what he could be. He does love a little bit of speculative recruiting and the team pulled plenty of WA boys out from Scotty's network. Tom Lee is a big forward from the WAFL who I wouldn't be surprised if we looked at either.

How in any way are those players 'choices?' They are highly rated and valued players. It'd be like saying Stanley, Siposs and Simpkin are choices from us.

I dont know what that list means but the only player we would have a hope of getting is Hille. Is there any point in getting him unless people think we can win a flag in the next 2 years. I certainly dont think we can.

I think they are speculating on talent at other clubs with drastic improvement still left in them. Still relative bargains compared to where they are likely to be in a few years. Except Hille who is on his last legs.
Read the title wrong and thought I was on the wrong forum.
Thought the question was "Which snatch do we players underestimate?"
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

He isn't rally underestimated although he has been out of the Bombers 22 at times this year so I think we could convince him to come to the Saints. Bombers need midfielders so I wouldn't mind trading Montagna for Bellchambers and their first rounder. If we had to throw in a second or third rounder then do it.
McEvoy would still have a place in the side as he's an outstanding mark and an elite runner. He could basically play as an extra tall wingman drifting up and down the ground taking big clunks at either end with Bellchambers giving the mids first use.
What!!
Are you kidding?? Monty for Bellchambers? McEvoy as a rolling wingman!!?
Look again please. These are real bad decisions IMO.

serious? i'd be ecstatic if we got a 23 year old ruckman, who will improve and could play another ten years, for a very good running midfielder who's just turned 29 and could probably go another three or four years max. we need more talls, we need more promising young guys, we need to avoid having all our stars retire at the same time - this would kill three birds with one stone!

can't see essendon doing it, though.
All true but I dnt rate Bellchambers as well as others obviously do. He was on my earlier list as he has some value but like many others may cost more than a bargain.

Spot on. Maybe they are valued players at other clubs but if salary cap pressure occurs they may be some of the off cuts in terms of value for money and team experience. I wouldn't discard any of these from future dicsussions.
