He was excellent. Sounds like a future coach

Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"

I only heard just over half- but certainly spoke as someone who has studied and knew plays and plans and what was happening and should be happening.

Interesting comments by Dal on the game being simple and team structures being important. He also said it was hard to turn training of easy to execute routines, into game time when players were swapped around.

He indicated he didnt know Roo was off with the injury until "he couldn't see the big blonde bloke on a lead".

He also stated the reality is, during the game, when you have a split second for a decision, its the players first reaction that counts. The team drills aren't the first decision because there is no time. Maybe some insight into our poor skill level and our turnovers is identified here?

Overall good comments. It interested me that he was keen to study the midfielders speed and consistency. Obviously this was seen to be challenging by Dal.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

you can tell by the way he goes about his game that he would make a good coach at least in the technical side. his poise and ability to read play and anticipate things means he probably thinks more about the game on the field than anyone (lenny excluded) and to me someone who can bring that interment knowledge and apply it to a team will be a great coach though i would assume he will probably be in the same boat as Harvey, midfield coach for a fair while till he finds a senior role. BUT LENNY now thats a bloke who i think has all the attributes to hit the ground running as a senior coach.
