Very interesting finale to the season with no spots sewn up, even top 4 can change order dramatically.
We'll be 2 games behind one of north, bombers after today… so we need the loser to lose one of their last 3 to be any chance… freo look a genuine chance if they are any good whatsoever.

If the blues can beat essendon next week, they may well be playing us for the last spot in the finals in the last round, assuming they spank GC when it counts.

You say must....but there are a number of scenarios where the Saints can make it.

However Dons, Cats and Roos can all drop out.

2 teams can drop out the 8, or one for us to make it.

We need to win all 3.

agree this is the scenario with most chance.. but another possibility is

This is the biggest hurdle of all those games , so agree that there's no point even looking until after fri night. If we do win it will be on the back of a spirited massive effort and we will be looking forward to Carlton .

Because if they do, we can still afford to drop the Cats game.

They play the Dogs today, Freo in Freo, the Bombers then Port.

If they win all those they'll sheppard us through to 8th, and finish 9th themselves.

As Plugger said, beat the Cats and we should be right.

The other thing is if we beat the Cats we could finish as high as 6th or 7th which would probably result in a home final. finish 8th and we'll probably play the Eagles in the west.

I know you can't rely on results and you don't win GFs outside the top 4 but this is a very open season where anyone can win or lose. Next year we could be wracked with injury, a team could have a breakout season anything. Just play every game like it's your last and the rest will be what it is. Don't look too far ahead.
