Re: Ray
Liked the way he went back into the hole and marked strongly despite hearing Cloke's footsteps and smelling his foul breath.

Re: Ray
I don't understand why he's had such a rough time this year. I agree that his form was pretty ordinary last year and needed a kick up the arse to put him on notice, but he has responded brilliantly and not played a bad game all year. Good 18-22 player to have in the side.

Re: Ray
In my eyes Farren Ray is definitely in our best 22 and I can't understand why the selectors don't always see it that way. His disposal's not always as clean as it should be?????

Re: Ray
Experience does count and I am glad that we played him last night. Strong marking around the ground adds a lot to our team strength. Should play on next year.
Re: Ray
Said it many times but Ray and Hayes are the two who step it up when the game is in the balance. Hope we hold onto him and hope he cements his place, very highly rated by me.

Re: Ray
Ray's been in our best ten in almost every game he's played this year. Obviously there's something he's not doing that others are, but for the life of me I can't work out what.

Re: Ray
Faz will be outed anyways as unfortunate as it was he collected Wellingham high with a bump, not intentional but high contact was made and as the afl keep pointing out the head is sacrosanct. So he may not have a choice next week.
Or did no one see that.

Sing it loud and sing it proud but most of all hang around for this club will rise to claim the prize and then we will realise its not such a surprise.

Re: Ray
There was a period in the third quarter where Ray played Gram's position (Gram to wing) where he was terrific. Took some overhead marks from opposition kicks and used the ball well. I would love to see him given a few weeks in that possie. Poise, great hands, good skills and willing to go when required.
And Gram can play wherever (or for whoever for all I care).

They certainly wear the same colour jumper, although the numbers are different.class of 2010 wrote:to be fair they do look almost identical when you're at the ground
In any event, no case to answer, the clash was incidental not reckless.

Re: Ray
Has been a real find since crossing from the Dogs.
Finds the footy, moves fast, holds his own in big games, really gives his all.
Hope he stays around for many years to come. He is just 26, after all.
