I'm happy to start it. It's becoming a regular occurance. Do the AFL even try to provide decent umps? Some of the decisions today were disgraceful.

Please, please, please AFL do something to atract some talent to this role!

The free Giansiracusa got in the goal square for a hold was the worst I've seen this year.

Some very very puzzling decisions today.

The "push in the back" to Cross
Holding in the goalsquare (lead to a goal to them)
The one where the Dogs player dove headlong into a pack and nobody touched him
The Dogs player sauntering across the mark (no 50)

Those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

Its an abject disgrace right now. Needs a massive overhaul

Yep saw them make 3 bad decisions today. The funny thing they seem to get worse every year. Eventually they may not be able to blow the whistle.

what about the inconsistent application of the advantage rule. Brought back twice for us, Bulldogs took advantage twice.

A couple of times in the last qtr they called 'play-on' as our players were moving backwards (in a straight line) to take their kick. That was really getting annoying for me.

Seemed pretty good to me today. Made a few mistakes IMO but like many I here we are usually wrong.

That was strange as was the Dogs player who ran through the mark. Ump was right there too.

advantage only applies after a free kick, not after a mark.

We havent played Collingwood but that is funny all the same. I will ask again do the umpires go against us more often than not and if they do why?

Ive watched both sides play every game this year and on that alone I can tell you we get treated differantly. Our defenders are given far less leeway than theres while our firwards receive far less protection.

in relation to the advantage rule - if the out of zone ump pays a free at a stoppage then the advantage rule does not apply. that is what happened in the 3rd quarter when it appeared we were not paid the advantage, think joey was charging off but the stoppage free was paid to armo ( i think)

My favourite was Minson and Lake stopped Rooey by just standing either side holding him while Roo looked at the umpire incredulously and he didn't seem to know what it was about. It looked like they wanted to play ring a rosey with him in the middle.It may be a great new legal defensive strategy for the finals just join hands and skip around the forward in a circle.

Why wouldnt an umpire give Riewoldt more frees than Cloke? The fact that Roo doesnt receive far more is the joke.
