Can not bear any more of this commentating. Absolutely terrible. Did they think only swans fans would be watching?

As a supporter I don't mind losing... but when it is accompanied by slow, heartless football is when it starts to get to you. Players pulling-up TWO steps short of a contest is NOT the way to play Sydney. Our talls... not willing to make an aerial contest... is NOT the way to play football. And don't get me started on "falling over" and getting out of a contest... There is a genuine questionmark against some of our more experienced players lacking true heart... 'saving' themselves and not wanting to get hurt. Their time for greatness will NEVER come. Pathetic quarter Saints!

Dumb football Saints
Dumb football Saints
Our options and marking efforts coming out of defence have been ridiculous. I can't believe we can keep trying to mark from behind and our defenders picking out the Sydney talls. No energy terrible at contested footy its one thing slowing the game down its another playing slow low energy football! Terrible coaching in 2nd quarter , terrible effort no answers...

Listen to Keneally talking about how 'everyting gives him a big trill'.
There is no respite.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Pathetic quarter saints. Lenny should bypass games in Sydney as he just doesn't touch it.

First goalless quarter for the season. Absolutely appalling.
The most disgusting soft pathetic effort in that term. It's like we just didn't give a s***. Not good enough. I know Sydney are a good team but some of the efforts in marking contests that quarter was disgusting. I'm furious. We've thrown away a WONDERFUL start to the game.
Scott better absolutely BLAST them at half time.

On such a small ground we don't score a goal for the quarter - pathetic. And was was that goal scoring effort by schneider? terrible.

Re: Game Thread.. Syd v Stk
Our run and spread is a disgrace...talk about needing talls backs ruckman but we need mids bigtime
I don't like critisizing our own but what value does kossie bring to the team...just won't will himself on a contest

Re: Game Thread.. Syd v Stk
We can't hit a target. When we do, our passes are telegraphed so the swans get extra numbers to the contest, and out talls don't even compete. Aweful all-round.
Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"
Re: Game Thread.. Syd v Stk
The kick outs were a disgrace & none of the tall targets can take a grab even when we do look for them. Kosi is finished, should be subbed off now. Roo is hurt but needs to start clunking them as does Macevoy as we have no talls doing their job at the moment.
Re: Game Thread.. Syd v Stk
Their work around stoppages is amazing....
we really need out mids to pick up the pace.... just need to work together when the ball is in their hands....

Re: Game Thread.. Syd v Stk
First quarter we had good ball use.
Second quarter we were disgusting and could not kick to team-mate.
Gwilt kicking out from FB makes him the 23rd Swan.

Re: Game Thread.. Syd v Stk
both Reiwoldt and Mumford under injury clouds. Roo with what appears to be pain in his troublesome knee and not moving well. Mumford with what may be a serious knee injury. How those two injuries pan out over the next two quarters will be important factors in the result.

In steps dunnell, he will add some decent aerial contest.... despite not being the tallest...
i only hope the players trust him enough to know that he will put in the effort
