How people are leaving Jones out of their 5 baffles me. 28 disposals at 86% efficiency, 15 contested possessions, 12 clearances and 9 tackles. He won his own ball time and time again across all four quarters. BOG by a country mile.
Jones was exceptional

Re: Votes vs Brisbane
I believe there's a fair chance the coach would've been giving Sam Fisher a "well done" on his stop job on Browny last night.
Played a different role and still played it well.
5. Hayes
4. Jones
3. Milne - his defensive work on Adcock was fantastic.
2. Armitage

Re: Votes vs Brisbane
5- Lenny (CJ was great but Lenny rose above the pack at the critical times)
4- CJ (Courageous performance - if he had've kicked that goal on the run he would have got my 5)
3- Simpkin (bled for us in defence)
2- Saad (proved to be the decisive forward of the night)
1- Monty (was cracking in hard all night and accumulating as usual)

Re: Votes vs Brisbane
It's absolutely amazing that Ray got the axe. He seems like a hard worker and a very determined person, but after working his arse off in the reserves this year, earn senior selection and be dropped multiple times while in good form has got to be disheartening. I would feel no ill will against him if he asks for a trade at the end of the year, because he's playing good footy and deserves a senior spot.

I guess BJ and Steven returning had to push someone out.mad saint guy wrote:It's absolutely amazing that Ray got the axe. Hayes, Dal, Joey, Armo, Jones, Ray
Makes you think BJ may be midfield pushing forward, and Ray loses his spot to Steven.
I hope Ray stays, as he is first in when suspension or injury and is pretty handy to have, because you know that he will be working hard and in touch at Sandy. However yes, you'd have to understand if he decided to ask for a trade, perhaps back to WA.
