Re: Saints Sponsors Race Day
What's this day all about? Are any players going to be here?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

I hope that all those who attend have a great time. I've been to a B&F, a Season Launch and a Match Day Experience and HAD A GREAT TIME AT ALL OF THEM !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Should be a fantastic atmosphere at Mornington today!!!
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Re: Saints Sponsors Race Day
Fabulous day.
Great venue.
Players really approachable.
Most mingled for over three hours.
Great credit to the Club and the Players.
(Only disappointment was Milney was about the only player missing - apparently spending a quiet day with his family - I guess I can see why as he would have been mobbed!)

But yeah, not a bad day.
Re: Saints Sponsors Race Day
Raph had a migraine and was excused. Milney had a family lunch then was hosting a BBQ for the players tonight.
Really really good day. Great venue, the main dining room was used rather than a marquee. Big big room with loads of tables chairs and even couches to relax on.
Great view of the track or you could walk down the grass and stand right on the fence. Not a massive crowd apart from our function so loads of room.
Players were very friendly and most stayed pretty much the whole time. Shaun Dempster was still there when we left at 4.30.
Thanks to SS and the Club for making it possible..excellent time had by all I'd reckon..the mood of course being very buoyant after last night
Even came out about $40 ahead on the punt thanks to my fancy in the last saluting
Sorry didnt catch up with the other SS winners. The Club hadnt printed individual name tags for us so couldnt pick you out.
Food was terrific and plentiful..with the highlight being some A grade profiteroles that went down a treat.
