Re: B.W.
We controlled the tempo of the game so I guess it makes sense that our forwards were moving in the right areas because the timing was right? Am I logical in thinking this?
Really good game from a back-up tonight. In years gone by we would be wetting ourselves after a third tall (Charlie Gardiner, Ryan Gamble) kicking a few against a shitty team however it was great to see a back-up doing it against a team with finals aspirations who had lost only a few games for the year.
Good work Beau Wilkes. Very happy.

Re: B.W.
Wilkes was enormous last night - people need to remember he doesn't need to be Roo - he just needs to present, be an option and tackle. Do that and he pays his way easily !
Well done Wilkes.
Well done Wilkes.

Re: B.W.
I think the impact of Wilkes and Stanley this year has notably eased the pressure off Roo, who has responded with better personal performances. As far as depth goes Wilkes will be more than capable up forward. He did play forward as a junior in Albany, but was only used as a forward half way through last year at Claremont by the Sandy coach McPhee. He kicked over 40 goals including 5 or 6 in the GF for Claremont. For a late pick I think we have got reasonable value.

3 critical errors, 2 clangers. not as bad as Hayes who had 4 critical errors and 5 clangers lol (according to the Age)BelfastSaint wrote:he made a lot of clangers tonight ... i personally found his game very frustrating ... hopefully he can take his chances though and show some improvement if he gets selected next week ...

Wilkes was 42 at West Coast. Selwood has been 37 for 10 years.BigMart wrote:He must like the number
