our picks
This is the AFL's 2011 phantom draft, http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/ ... fault.aspx
Just wanted to bring it up to show how much the gaps our between our picks and theirs.
SEB ROSS - Taken at pick 25- AFL says 31 to essendon - difference of 6.
DANIEL MAKWORTH - pick 35- 13- 22
JACK NEWNES- pick 37- 92!!- 55
JIMMY WEBSTER - 42- 49- 7
JAY LEVER - 60- NOT PICKED - N/A
Normally, their more accurate so thought this was quite weird, especially with Newnes (!!) , Markworth and Lever.

Re: our picks
weird topic, it's usually pretty easy to predict top 10, but after that there are so many possibilities it's not funny
Thats actually quite a good effort

Re: our picks
ok,ok, i'm sorry, porbably got carried away by last year's phantom draft.
Cripps was only 4 off
Crocker 5 off
Ledger 15 off
Siposs 28 off
Simpkin was right... though it was pretty easy

Re: our picks
Newnes was rated around 50-60 in most of the BF ones. And most said he was a pretty good pick at that stage. And obviously with what we've seen thus far. Looks like it may have been an inspired pick.

Re: our picks
Pretty sure Newnes was at one stage rated highly but injuries saw him slide down rankings (or maybe it was Webster). The AFL phanton draft is normally well off the mark. Markworth was tipped to go 20-25 by most people but also they thought he could slide. We got a bargain selecting him at 35.mick13 wrote:Newnes was rated around 50-60 in most of the BF ones. Re: our picks
Newnes was highly rated as a 17 year old and nearly got signed by WS. His form dropped off though and they decided to pass. Think that stigma carried over a little bit.stkildathunda wrote:Pretty sure Newnes was at one stage rated highly but injuries saw him slide down rankings (or maybe it was Webster).
