BJ has gone on record as saying he'd take a pay cut to win a flag.

If he's going anywhere, it ain't to GWS.

More likely Collingwood...

Contract talks, he's signed, he doesn't care, he's struggling with taggers, average player....

I'll add one.

Maybe that hip injury he sustained Rd 1 last year and carried the entire season led to his form being down, and the fact he missed the preseason due to being on crutches for 6 weeks, has a caused a long than (even he expected) return to form.

Perhaps it's not the popular one, because wishing to see the back of him is the trend right now?
I'm certainly not advocating that SainterK. What I do want is for the club to take a much tougher line with players contracts. Gram on $450k a year (reportedly) is a complete joke. Kosi on anything over 300k a year likewise.

BJ is a very good player, and you don't just let them walk out the door. But we have a salary cap squeeze at the moment apparently. I say pay him what he's worth, and for mine his absolute top dollar is $500k a year. If he wants anymore than that well I reckon we have to wish him good luck.

There's always a lot of hysteria over ggrand final performances - good and bad. Waaayyyy too much emphasis is placed on this one particular game. Just because Gram plays well in a GF surely doesn't mean his worth goes up 100k a year? It's ridiculous. BJ has played very well for us in many big games. He was heroic in the 2010 GF. However contracts should be judged over the term of time, not on one game. He's never won a B&F and from memory has never made the AA team. (2009?)

If he's struggling with an injury at the moment, as I said from my initial post - I can cope with players out of form - I can't cope with blokes being sooks over a period of time.

P.S. - Is his hip injury causing him to miss set shots at goals? (not just on the weekend) He is supposed to be one of the best kicks in the comp - I bet that's what his manager is telling Nettlefold. Is it causing him to turn the ball over when in the past he didn't?
