My "INSIDE" info tells me that there will be somewhere between 0 and 3 changes today. They also told me that they would know for sure by about 3.10pm today !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Ah yeah. Wilkes in for Kosi and Saad in for ??? Stanley? Maybe Rhys isn't ready yet.
Two changes IMO. Otherwise I can't see why they've held back three good players from getting match practise at the Zebras.

Re: Round 14 Squad v N Melb - Update
Thats the key, especially given Zebs have the BYE again next week! So it would mean some players might miss 3 weeks of footy! If Saad doesnt play this week it will be 4 weeks between games next week if he plays next week.bigcarl wrote:plugger66 wrote:bigcarl wrote:I'll go with Kosi and Milera out for Wilkes and Saad in.

Re: Round 14 Squad v N Melb - Update
All this attempted second guessing on here of what the coach and club are going to do is really quite weird. I don't think anyone without direct inside knowledge could hope to have a clue.
I don't believe there is an awful lot of "foxing" by football coaches. I do believe that players are often selected who are marginal in terms of fitness. Understandably, if these problems have emerged at training rather than during a game, the club is not going to publicise them. So, pretty much every week, any player in our 22 is potentially going to drop out and be replaced by one of the emergencies.
Things were clearly a little different under Lyon and replacing players in the selected team was done by him as a way of resolving his differences with the match day committee. I don't propose to go back over the records, but I suspect that - during 2009-10 - each and every time either Dempster or Eddy was selected as an emergency, one of the selected players inevitably dropped out on match day so that one of these guys could replace him.
But this was really unusual. Can someone please explain to me why - as many have asserted in this thread - what would be served by the club selecting Saad as an emergency with the intention from the get go of replacing Raph Clarke with him on match day? I'm sure the Roos will be devastated when all their carefully-laid plans to counter the massive threat posed by Raph will have to be scrapped!!
Here's my theory: Milera is being rested (it truly does happen some time) and will probably only be played if one of our running midfielders is injured in the warmup. Riewoldt, Saad and Stanley are all under injury clouds. If Stanley isn't 100%, Siposs will come into the starting team and Saad, if fit, will be the sub. If Riewoldt isn't 100%, Wilkes might play.
Or, as I said before, there might be other players struggling for fitness who we don't know about.
This make far more sense to me than all the conspiracy theories.

Kosi maybe???
Or Stanley?
Saad I would assume is in, perhaps for a defender

Re: Round 14 Squad v N Melb - Update
I would make these changes to the side selected
Saad for Clarke
Simpkin for Blake
Ray for Gram
How the **** can Saad not be in the team?
Surely he is a late change!!!!!!!!!!

AFL - Late changes #AFLSaintsNorth: St Kilda - Sippos + Jones OUT, Saad + Milera (sub) IN. North - Thompson OUT, L Delaney IN - Campbell (sub)
In: Saad, Milera (Sub)
Out: Siposs, Jones
Jones being out will please some, not me....meaning they may need to take Dempster out of defence to do a tagging role.

Re: Round 14 Team v N Melb - Final
Anyone know why Sippa is out?
Can't be form and surely not the recent footy scourge of 'general soreness'? Injured???
I also agree with the assessment that although CJ's being out will please some, it's very surprising. Several blokes a bit stiff to out of the team, and a few blokes a bit lucky to be in IMHO..., I hope those in the latter group realise this and put in accordingly...
That said, I'm rapt that Ahmed is in. Not just easily starting 22 for mine, but also a very important player. I'm also very happy to see Tezza still there. I see the sub role as potentially a better option than a 'rest' at Sandy. we'll see, eh?
