Surprised not to see Simpkin into the squad.
Thought he was just rested.
Happy with the ins though, don't reckon Stanley will make the final changes.
Probably just Out Clarke in Saad?

No Edwards into their squad means they will likely stick with the three talls in Tarrant, Hansen, Petrie.

Surprised Simpkin didn't at least make the final 25, and maybe Wilkes. Still it means there are a lot of options.....

Re: Round 14 Squad v N Melb
From that squad.................. I think I could select a better(???) team based on the letters in the players surnames!!!! Makes it neater, easier on the eye when reading the magnetic whiteboard to have letters grouped together eh????
For starters I would have all the players with the letter 'G' in the back half.
Backs: Geary Gwilt Gilbert
Half Backs: Goddard Fisher Gram. As the letter "F" preceeds "G", Fisher would get the CHB to lead the "G's".
Centres: This is what I call my ABC line and would consist of: Armitage Blake Clarke
Now for the forwards with our sizzling "S's"
Half Forwards: Schneidder Reiwoldt Steven
Forwards: Saad Stanley Siposs. To maintain consistency of thought, as the letter "R" preceeds S, hence Roo claims CHF possie
Followers are the letter "M"
Followers: McEvoy Montagna Milera
The miss match of letters can form my interchange bench............ don't know which one to exclude as they are all favs of mine.
Oh well, off to walk the hound, that's filled in a little time for me........ sorry to stuff up your serious discussion of what to do with the intechange

I think someone has made a mistake and republished a 2010 side.
Ross would be proud.

Re: Round 14 Squad v N Melb
Agree. As I've said numerous times it should be a squad of 25 on Thursday night for all teams with the final 22 and sub 90 minutes prior to start.MCG-Unit wrote:Yes they've had a few late changes haven't they. Sunday games have a provisional 22 named at 5pm ish Friday, and even on Saturday a player can withdraw from the 22 injured and be replaced by someone who is not an emergency!
All legit by AFL rules as long as its made public.

I think if fit, then saad, simpkin & Stanley have to start these days, and probably one or two of milera, siposs & newnes.MCG-Unit wrote:Maybe one or two of Siposs, Saad or Stanley will get a run?dragit wrote:Can someone please point me to the 2012 round 14 side…?MCG-Unit wrote:B: Geary, Blake, Gwilt

The side picked was a good side 2-3 tears ago, but since the 2010 GF it has only won around half of it's matches. Maybe we need to 6-8 to realise where we are at.
Re: Round 14 Squad v N Melb
Just feel like all the fringe players have had a go, Polo, Farren, Clarke....when I listened to Scott in the presser after the Crows game, he didn't sound that positive about Raph to me.66 Saints wrote:SainterK wrote:Surprised not to see Simpkin into the squad.

Reckon if it's between all of them for the last spot, Farren will probably get the nod?

Re: Round 14 Squad v N Melb
All Sunday matches are extended benches until Friday at around 5pm when they get cut back to 22 & 3. Has been and always will be like that. No mind games at play (yet)saintspremiers wrote:MCG-Unit wrote:Agree. I feel Farren has been the best of the fringe senior players, and was unlucky to be dropped in the first place a few weeks back... He has since backed it up with good VFL performances, obviously in good form....SainterK wrote: Reckon if it's between all of them for the last spot, Farren will probably get the nod?
He is my pick from the bunch of 4 or 5 that are there abouts..

Re: Round 14 Squad v N Melb
Farren named ON-FIELD for the Zebs this week, which is odd as all other emergencies and guys on extended bench are named on Zebs extended bench. Could be sign that he'll play there on Saturday.Sobraz wrote:I feel Farren has been the best of the fringe senior players, and was unlucky to be dropped in the first place a few weeks back...
