We are no certainties to beat Norf, we have a habit of playing shite teams into form

What would we rest players for? I mean if we don't beat North, and we then with losing form have to front up against Essendon and go to the Gabba to play Brisbane anyway, our season could be over as far as progressing any further goes.
No - full team in - move in for the kill like we did against the Suns.

I'd give Riewoldt an extra week - if Stanley can come in.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Even if he is 100% fit?

If he's cherry ripe then yes he plays but I'm going by the report that his knees were sore - an extra week won't hurt if he's even a bit suspect.

This whole season has been a good example of teams that took their foot of the pedal and came undone. the difference between the best and worst sides is minimal and it's anyones game if we don't come to play. if roos calf is sore he should sit out otherwise the Wilkenator can come back for a week.

Best side we can put together on the park against North... and for the rest of the season.

Hopefully we will be in a position to rest Roo, Lenny and maybe one or two others in round 23. There's no way we should be resting anyone now..

yep. we've had a great run with injuries so far this year but that won't continue. make the most of it and put em all on the field while we can. we're no certainty to bear north - we're actually not that good.

Are you a saints supporter? seriously?

Man you are jinxing us big time!!

thanks for that

North will beat us if we our players take that attitude onto the ground. North are capable of turning it on at etihad.

We will be full strength and be ready because scott watters isnt stupid.

If the coach and the leadership group were going to plan to rest players this year against the weaker sides, they would have already done it.

You got your answer 2 weeks ago when Roo, Lenny, Kosi, Milne, BJ, Dal, CJ, Armo, Blake, Saad and Millera were all taken up to Metricon to take on the powerhouse of a team in the Gold Coast Suns.

And don't come at me at me or come back with; 'you gotta be joking - you wanted ALL those blokes rested?'...read the other thread on Pumping Gold Coast vs Resting

Considering what's going on at Etihad at the moment, I'm hoping the players and coaching staff are taking this game more seriously than some of our supporters...

North are looking pretty good today, We are not good enough to rest players, we do that and they will beat us, and if we took that attitude we would deserve to be beaten

looks like north have got three tall forwards taking marks and kicking goals... given our form against tall forwards so far this year, i'm a touch worried about this game.

North beat Geelong but then went missing. They are very inconsistent.

In your "lingo" saintspremiers, "norf" are thumping the Crows for one reason and one reason only - they aren't playing off them - like our numbskull coach did for three quarters. Adelaide are a good disposal team, not a good winning of possession team. This has been obvious to anyone who can see for years. I suppose there will come day when what you say will eventually come true. Like, the world will end. For humans, this will be sooner rather than if your hero Phoney gets elected.

We could beat them easily with 4 or 5 rested. Not arrogance just reality.

Again, we have a 6 day break following then play a good side Essendon.

Firstly give Roo another week off to get fully over the calf.

Fire Away......

All of our coaches are watching this game with renewed interest. IMHO, I believe that North won't be able to repeat today's effort, unless WE LET THEM. So the coaches/players would be s*** scared now. That would serve to harden the resolve of everyone at St Kilda. Danger game to help remain in the eight, an opponent that must now be taken seriously- focus, guys :-/
In fact, this is the best thing that could have happened.
Coming off the bye, we needed the heads-up about North.
If the Crows had belted Nth, our guys may just have gone a tiny little bit easier...like the Bombers did against the Demons.
