Stanley re-signs for 3 years
Versatile tall forward Rhys Stanley has inked a new deal with the Saints, extending his contract for a further three years.
“I couldn’t be happier, the club has shown faith in me until the end of 2015, so I’m stoked,” said Stanley.
“I’m really excited to push this club forward and grow the membership base, and help develop the club as one of the big powerhouses of the competition.”

Also, great to hear this. Really excited to watch him develop over the next few years.
Re: Stanley re-signs for 3 years
For mine, this is the best and most important resigning news we will have this season.
He's the only Tall attacking prospect to have shown anything significant since 2001, bar Jarryd Allen.
With Kosi and Rooey only a couple of years left and only one other ruckman on the list he's mighty important to us both now and into the future.

Re: Stanley re-signs for 3 years
Great news, very important to the Saints to secure such a talent. I expect him to be a future champion
And the president said " I did not have sex with that woman"
And our former president said " Football is like golf"
Go Sainters !!!!!

Re: Stanley re-signs for 3 years
this was the one i was worrying about.
IMO losing stanley would have been 10x worse than losing BJ. the kid has alot of potential that we have just started to see now that he's under a better development program.
GWS were very keen on stanley.

Re: Stanley re-signs for 3 years
would love to know what they signed him for... granted it's none of my business though
would really give us an insight to the club.
Rhys Stanley =
- a player that has been maligned a lot considering how young he is
- many felt coming into this year that unless he improved rather drastically he was close to being delisted
- has shown some marked improvement for a youngin but yet to really stamp any type pf authority
3 years is a long contract for a player that is still something of an unknown quantity
Can't help but feel that he either signed at a rate far too low for what he has done... or maybe far to high for what he has to do
I'm glad he signed though.
What do people think he'd be on?
would really give us an insight to the club.

A good signing, and if Ross Who is on the money (has a track record of accuracy) there could be more before our next game !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Awsome news. Really think the Power Tool is going to be massive to our future. Hope he gets back soon and get's as many games for the rest of the season and then has a good pre season. Next year will be his break out year I'm hoping.

Re: Stanley re-signs for 3 years
He has played 7 matches this season?
Whilst he has looked to improve this season let's not go nuts here.
Has he taken a game on with a match-winning performance?
Until he does, champagne bottles stay on kids

Great news, I was worried that he might leave. It seems that Watters is well liked by the players
I love this club
