Well done raph, but unfortunately you did not do enough during your game last week (playing in defence in a 90+ point win) and your run/covering would be wasted against Adelaide who are moving the ball the quickest in the comp...
your consistant 3 weeks of footy means jack.... no wonder the guy lacked confidence with opinions like these, hope he makes the flight and tears adelaide a new one.
Please explain your method P66 based on your changes?
match ups? injuries? positional changes?

Re: guess this weeks ins and outs
IN: McEvoy, Fisher
OUT: Saad (eye), Clarke (unlucky)
Not that Clarke had a bad game, but I would prefer to give Newnes some more experience in a big game.
If Saad is okay to play, well.. I'm not sure who to drop.
Tough match commitee this week.

Newnes stiff because he's going to be a gun and Gwilt needs to gain some touch at Sandringham

Yeah I'd like to know if Geary and Saad were on the plane as well?
Re: guess this weeks ins and outs
i'm not him but maybe it's based on the number of defenders in the squad:barrel-it wrote:Please explain your method P66 based on your changes?
match ups? injuries? positional changes?
Simpkin, Dempster, Gwilt, Fisher, Gilbert, Geary, Newnes, Clarke, Blake, Gram
it's just not possible to play all ten of these guys, even though they've all been playing their roles. clarke was the last one in so it might be logical for him to be the first one out.
that said, my guess is that he stays in:
IN: Fisher, Geary
OUT: Gram, Newnes
newnes has time on his side, gram has been good but his current rebounding role is better played by fisher.

Re: guess this weeks ins and outs
Please explain why you are defending an average player because most know he is pretty damn average? He made two basic howling efforts via foot on the weekend and only 13 touches against a team of kids. Big deal.barrel-it wrote:??plugger66 wrote:In

Plus people cannot forgive him for the lack of awareness early in the 09 GF when tackled by Max Rooke.
He lacks confidence? Where does it categorically say that? Who cares if he does?
80 games of average-ness and a 3rd coach will probably not change him

Geary yes, not sure bout Saad.SainterK wrote:Yeah I'd like to know if Geary and Saad were on the plane as well?
But sounds like McEvoy is definently back!!
Watters said McEvoy could learn plenty from Blake.
"I've sung Blakey's praises a number of times. He is an outstanding clubman. Maybe it's a challenge for Ben McEvoy to have a look at what Jason Blake has done over the last three or four weeks and elevate his performance as a ruckman and carry the ruck stocks," Watters said before boarding the plane at Tullamarine airport.
"There's a challenge there for Ben to step up. It's his first game back but I do expect big things for Ben going forward."

Yeah, we get it. You don't rate him. Others do.The Redeemer wrote:Please explain why you are defending an average player because most know he is pretty damn average? He made two basic howling efforts via foot on the weekend and only 13 touches against a team of kids. Big deal.

Re: guess this weeks ins and outs
"Joining McEvoy on the flight were defenders Sam Fisher and Jarryn Geary, who are both set to return from injury"
In Fisher McEvoy Geary
Out Saad (conc) Newnes Siposs
I haven't read anywhere that Saad was on the plane, so Schneider may come into the squad.
Not sure who will sub, perhaps Clarke because he was one of the last in?
McEvoy really plays the role well of being a target outside of defence, feel like we've missed that in his absence.

Re: guess this weeks ins and outs
Doubt if the will use Clarke as sub. Also Schneider already in the squad.
Re: guess this weeks ins and outs
He wasn't a good sub under the previous gameplan, but why not now Barry?borderbarry wrote:Doubt if the will use Clarke as sub. Also Schneider already in the squad.
If he could come in mid way through the third and impact the game in a manner he did last week, being asked to rebound strongly and even push forward, I think it's a good fit.
Re: guess this weeks ins and outs
Out - Saad (inj), Newnes, Gwilt
IN - Macca, Fish, Geary
I think shnieds will stay in, saad will stay out (safety first), macca in to free up blake to run in the backline....
at least our backline is getting a boost, lots of defenders coming back into the team (i know macca isn't a defender, but he will free blake up to run in the backline)

Watters does like putting the heat back on to players through the media...I don't mind it but not sure it will work though.stkildathunda wrote:Geary yes, not sure bout Saad.SainterK wrote:Yeah I'd like to know if Geary and Saad were on the plane as well?

Re: guess this weeks ins and outs
Gee Saads fwd pressure will be enormous loss - his speed to hurry up their defenders has been excellent...
Here's your chance S Milne - to step up and have a big interstate game!

Watters said decisions on Jarryn Geary and Ahmed Saad would be made in Adelaide.

Re: guess this weeks ins and outs
IF Fisher comes it lessons pressure on Gram... I actually reckon Geary not immediately needed but Saads fwd pressure takes heat off Milne who is notoriously ordinary interstate.... Salads critical for mine hope he's good to go..stkildathunda wrote:Watters said decisions on Jarryn Geary and Ahmed Saad would be made in Adelaide.
