All 3 emergencies travelled and all 22 named in team travelled and they all trained today and showed no signs of any injuries.

Surely it would make more sense to play either Schnieds or Raph and drop Cripps for the sake of match practice.
Surely you'd ideally want one of those pair in against Adelaide?
Why not put one of them in the team and make them te sub????

From the reports I have read, Jack Newnes might be a bit doubtful. If so, I expect Raph to take his spot ahead of Schneids !!

Re: any late changes ?
There was a lengthy conversation between Newnes and a groupf of coaches/physios at training yesterday, but I didn't really waych how he was moving, was more trying to get a look at how Cripps was moving - was shocked to see him run onto the ground to be honest and spent a fair portion of the session trying to watch him.Eastern wrote:From the reports I have read, Jack Newnes might be a bit doubtful. Re: any late changes ?
The thing that annoys me is that if there is a late change, either Raph or Schneids will probably be brought in and played as the sub. It seems Scott's way of thinking, and although I'd love to see Sipposs or someone get a full game, I'm not sure if particularly Raph would be able to show a big impact if he played as the 'next best player' sub, rather than using it on a quick, impact player who could provide a spark for the team!

Re: any late changes ?
If we were looking ahead to Adelaide, you would think that Raph would get a run this week and Newnes rested.
Newnes still looks a little light for the Crows.

If Newnes is injured, so be it. However he looks closer to being a contributor than Cripps at the minute imo...

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?
Re: any late changes ?
I like schneider as the sub! Maybe put Raph in the backline and have gram further up the ground?
