Re: Saints Function Details - Gold Coast - Including Transpo
I cant beleive people would actually get a bus to the footy from Royal Pines. That would be like getting off at Richmond station and getting a bus to the G.

And who was the clown that built a stadium with NO carparking!
Sure, Etihad doesn't have a lot, but does have a bit under the stadium and a few other options within a 5 minute walk.
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.
Re: Saints Function Details - Gold Coast - Including Transpo
Plugger66, why the need for a comment? Actually its quite a lengthy walk especially for kids and the elderley. With rain forcast. Enjoy the walk.

its roughly a 20 min walk. not far at all.
But Bev is right, if its raining its not worth it.
Bev what sort of food is there? at $40 a head i expect to be greeted with a red carpet and glass of 1975 red wine.

Its finger food Dools, but it is a 5 star hotel and does include the transport which you would be staggered how much it costs. No profit from the $40.

I'm picking up friends from Cooli at 3.50 ETA and then heading, well it was to Robina, to catch a bus.
Looking at the bus times they aren't running once it gets near game time?
This appears much worse than when I went to Pac Fair last year and easily got shuttled across.
Any suggestions for late arrivals?
PS my friends didn't realise it was a twilight game when they booked flights, either did I.

Re: Saints Function Details - Gold Coast - Including Transpo
OK, so am not heading to the pre-game official function as I am picking my brother up from the airport, and like others the flight was booked thinking it was an night game not a twilight. So not bad on timing but the afternoon won't have as much pre-game drinking and lunching time as previously planned.
I recall seeing something about drinks at Robina(?), but is there a bar at the ground where folks will be gathering for a drink? Something along the lines of Livewire at Etihad?

Also a reminder for anyone leaving from Broadbeach the bus does not leave from Pacific Fair anymore and the new pick up is Victoria Park.
