Blake and Gram with 6 and Joey with 5
A champion is not defined by a number of wins, but by the courage shown to get up when your down

How many Milne had?
Riewoldt and Goddard to live up to their reputations ,Clarke and Ray to defy theirs in 2012!

Whale oil beef hooked......
And who won the most HTB free kicks???
In saying that, insipid early...... After HT had 70 odd DT points, which would translate to a huge game if it was a 4 qtr effort... Was not though....

Add Newnes, Gwilt, Simpkin, Gilbert, Milne, Cripps… all poor.Teflon wrote:Tackling was woeful tonight, Hayes and Dal had nights off and Jackl struggled.
But it's much easier to blame Gram & Montagna hey?

On another note Sippo had 12 disposals and 3 tackles in a quarter and a half plus 4 inside 50's (only behind Monty and Ray with 5 a piece). Pretty good going for a young 'un.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

You think Gram and Montagna were great? Good for you.dragit wrote:Add Newnes, Gwilt, Simpkin, Gilbert, Milne, Cripps… all poor.Teflon wrote:Tackling was woeful tonight, Hayes and Dal had nights off and Jackl struggled.

What tonight proved was that without the usual suspect carrying our tackling pressure...we fall away fast.

I Don't remember saying that…
Don't think they were anywhere near our worst, yet there is more more whinging about them than any others… completely unwarranted IMO.
Montagna was better than about 10 others at least… Gram was patchy but did plenty of good things
These tackled more than anyone, so why the grief?

Some could say Teflon.... With our best tackler down... Only a couple of others stood up??

I don't know. I'm still trying to work out who had 25 disposals. Was it Goddard?BigMart wrote:We didn't seem to stick many, who led the way??

BJ had 26 touches, and had a great game IMO.... Played like a leader, which can't always be said

Tackle stats now have Jason Gram in our bests all of a sudden?BigMart wrote:Some could say Teflon.... With our best tackler down... Only a couple of others stood up??
Tis true what they say bout stats...
I prefer to just watch and when I see a player standing, pointing, being outmuscled constantlywith minimal boy pressure applied i just think,......this guy's not putting the required effort in.
I didnt know Goddard was our leading disposal getter tonight - but i knew he had a great game and looked hungry again.

Re: Who were our top tacklers tonight???
Both coaches said that.... Have you got a clue about footy.... Both compared it to basketball
WTF would they know.....gawd your a fool, here's a tip
Don't try and Analyse the game until you've watched a replay, you embarrass yoursel
Tackle counts/clearances were well down, uncontested footy was up..... But it wasn't free flowing
Nice votes BTW.... Another tip
Rule of thumb.... Beat your opponent before first before being considered a good game....
