Re: 34,737 !!
Saturday twilight could be considered a good timeslot.
Not too late for kids as they can sleep in/recover on Sunday, and gives you the day and most of the night free.
I hope we request a few Sat twlights next season.

Unlikely to be a complete sellout.Con Gorozidis wrote:Top stuff
This week will be a sell out. What is that? 46k?
May sellout of seats and just have standing room available at game time.
Full house for non exceptional sellouts is around 48K.

Re: 34,737 !!
For some inexplicable reason, some Saints fans only come out late on Saturday. Four-forty pm was not seven forty-five pm, but near enough. We have not lost to Richmond since round 4, 2003. I even felt young then!
This will be a real challenge. But, we should win. The last time we lost to them (it was at Docklands), the chants (although not original) of the Tiger CS got them across the line. We will need as many Saints fans in full voice as we can muster. And remember, if a Tiger player grabs the ball, yell," Ball!" irrespective of whether he is grabbed. If a Tiger player grabs our player, yell," Not ball", a new innovation ( as Peter Landy would say). And if you see Luke Ball at the match, tell him to get a life.

This weeks game isn't an all ticketed affair is it?
My brother's coming down from Sydney and just wonder if he should book a ticket.
50,000 this week, hopefully another win and more money in the bank.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

That's a positive
You get a minumum 100k profit every game now even if it is a poor crowd.

I'd suggest he should just to be sure- even if only getting a general admission.

No. Bring as many Saints supporters (or would be Saints supporters) as you can, even if you have to kidnap them! (We'll visit you in jail.)3rd generation saint wrote:This weeks game isn't an all ticketed affair is it?

Re: 34,737 !!
Don't know what happened but i got to the game five minutes before it started , and got to my seat just before the first bounce , thought the crowd was disappointing for lenny's milestone game , looking up at the board the figure said 27k , towards the end of the first quarter i again looked and it was 33k . By halftime it was up to its final figure . Did people have trouble getting in or like me , we hate these 4.40 starts ?

Great timeslot. Many would have come due to game not being on TVand it bring a gloomy day to do anything else. Swans fans are so much more bearable than hawks or magpies fans too. This also made for an enjoyable match

Re: 34,737 !!
Not a bad timeslot for bringing the little one. Obviously not as great as afternoon, but better than night - which we just can't do with a 4-year-old.

Same Moolie, found it really good for the little man.Moolie wrote:Not a bad timeslot for bringing the little one. Obviously not as great as afternoon, but better than night - which we just can't do with a 4-year-old.
Home early enough, with Sunday to recover.
Re: 34,737 !!
Great crowd, really felt like a Saints home game.
I wonder if that lifts the players hearing the crowd clearly in our favor? You'd think so. Good job saints fans, keep turning up!

Re: 34,737 !!
It is a great timeslot for those of us who don't have kids as well.
Go to the footy, then listen to the players in the Social club after the game and then out to dinner and home by 11:00.
I am a fan of Saturday Twilight games though not so much on Sundays.
It is a better timeslot than Friday or Saturday night as if you want to go out for a bite afterwards there are stil plenty of places serving.
Also I am no longer in my twenties (by quite some way), so I don't feel the need to go out drinking till all hours after a game anymore.
