Re: 2 to 3 games in NZ
It will take time. I expect IF we do take this deal the first few years won't have the biggest impact in NZ and I expect the people complaining here will be running out the I told you so lines.
If St Kilda are to do this they need to commit to it long term. As in a minimum of 5 years- closer to 10.
You reap what you sow but it seems many here don't want to even plant seeds.
So many jokes can be made of this post I know.
Also even if numbers in NZ/at the ground are crap can you imagine the TV coverage for an ANZAC night game, especially if we play a big club- almost worth it for that alone.
*Friday night football wasn't an instant success.
*Anzac clash wasn't always this big
*Hawks didn't arrive in Tassie with all the work already done

The credibility of someone who posts their real name and has an actual photo of themselves as an avartar on a footy blog is very questionable.james rose wrote:It will take time. Not only do I not understand your logic but also your intent.

What you have is the worlds best, playing an Aust Rules football game in a geographic location similar to Melbourne in a sports mad city.
Great Idea I say.
And NZ would care if its the worlds best. Of course it is. No one else plays it.

The talk was that it would start at around 1pm NZ time and finish before the Melbourne game. NZ time being 2hrs ahead.SideshowMilne wrote:Any talk of the Anzac Day game time. Any bets Eddie is behind the scenes ensuring it runs at night as therefore same time (and TV slot) as 'his' game.

Re: 2 to 3 games in NZ
I think we should sell three of our interstate away games to NZ. We could give 11% of the fee to the away team. A win win win scenario.
