Best place to have a meal and a drink b4 Etihad game?
Pubs, restaurants I don't care, suggestions would be great. I will be there early on Saturday and am looking for somewhere to grab a bite and something to drink.

Re: Best place to have a meal and a drink b4 Etihad game?
The kebab joint just outside gate 2 is brilliant.
I've order the standard kebab a few times, but from what I hear the double everything version for 15 bucks is excellent if you are hungry.
Remember the gate nazi's might try and stop you bringing it into the ground. Try ignoring them and keep walking. If that doesn't work say you made it at home and that should shut them up!

I work in the Dockland's area and have been to The Woolshed on many occasions. I personally like it. The meals are good, the atmosphere is good.saintbrat wrote:Has anyone tried 'The Woolshed' on dockside of stadium

The Nixon is still operating.
Other places that i have been to are:
- Platform 28
- The Watermark (restaurant)
- Squire's Loft
- Docked (Tapas bar)
- Va Bene Pizzeria (Behind Woolshed)
- The Ginger Leaf (Thai Restaurant)
Plenty more that i haven't attended as well.

There's an Indian and a Japanese place on the corner of Latrobe and King st that are always busy and look inexpensive and good... and prob too far to walk but the Town Hall hotel on Errol st is close and great.
Re: Best place to have a meal and a drink b4 Etihad game?
Docklands is the best area IMO, because you can park in the Harbourtown multilevel carpark for a flat rate of $5 and it's not a long walk over.
I like the groove train, second story of harbourtown shops, nice pizza for a reasonable price.

I'll see you cats on Satdee nite!
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Bob's Chophouse opposite the Nixon and Gate 3 is superb food.
Not cheap but most things that are good aren't.
We like to go here for a treat.

McKinnon Hotel. 10 pots, then on the train to The Ethihad. Beer too expensive. Dont drink.
After the game. Back on the train. McKinnon Hotel. 10 more pots. Jaspers for a takeaway lasagne. Home to sleep, or if we win it's Sandbelt Grab a granny.

Lamore Docklands, tucked away on the corner of Harbour Esplanade and Bourke Street-in other words down the stairs walk past the Quest apartment and it's right on the corner.
Pizza, a great seafood risotto and other meals. Not too expensive and plenty of Saints supporters.
