Re: Round 8 Team v WCE
On Saints app, Scotty has a video of the Round 8 changes and mentions Newnes and then Gwilt coming in to squad. NO mention about Cripps at all??? Thoughts......

Newnes was given a wrap by Scott. My point was that he didn't even mention Cripps coming in to the squad. Does that indicate that Cripps is no chance?stinger wrote:newnes was named bog by one paper from last weekend's game......he may well be an in.....Ross who? wrote:On Saints app, Scotty has a video of the Round 8 changes and mentions Newnes and then Gwilt coming in to squad. Re: Round 8 Team v WCE
Cripps was in the 25 last week, so not really new "in". That's how I took it.

Ok, makes sense as to why he didn't rate a mentionstkildathunda wrote:Cripps was in the 25 last week, so not really new "in". That's how I took it.

Priddis still has to pass a concussion test I think. Really hope he's a late change. With us already having an insurmountable disadvantage in the ruck, we really need to get on top in clearances and contested possession.

We somehow did well last week despite getting killed in the ruck so who knows? Maybe one more?FQF wrote:Priddis still has to pass a concussion test I think. Really hope he's a late change. Re: Round 8 Team v WCE
West coast have better rucks and a deeper midfield than Carlton so it will be substantially more difficult. But I am quietly confident. The Redeemer wrote:We somehow did well last week despite getting killed in the ruck so who knows? Re: Round 8 Team v WCE
I'd dispute that. A 'deeper' midfield than Carlton? MMmmm bold statement. Rucks fair enough thoughFQF wrote:West coast have better rucks and a deeper midfield than Carlton so it will be substantially more difficult. Re: Round 8 Team v WCE - Final
Gilbert played a different role as a more permanent forward. Montagna early gave away about 5 of the first 7 possessions he got. He then ended the game really strongly. Walker was really good last year as was Waite Garlet etc. we contained a heavy scoring team minus Sam fisher, we should be really pleased how they performed.
