I have actually met him a few times and he is a ripper bloke.
Really wished he took his game to the next level because he is the type of guy you want to keep at your club.

Wonder how he woulda gone under SW's. I would have liked to see him play in a more offensive team cos hes a good decision maker with quite good disposal...Just never given the opportunity to show his potential playing as a defensive forward, just like Armo under RL who plenty wanted to cut or trade.

Suns are struggling with the defensive side of things, so perhaps he will come in to take out an opposition player.

Either way, I wish him well, I liked Mini because he did whatever was asked...sad for him he was retired like that.

He was not a good decision maker though? He would pass the ball off from 40 out instead of having a shot for goal...i.e. passing off to anyone that would run around the back of him for a cheapie.

His tackling was over-rated and the effort in both Grand Finals were pure awful. He might have tackled a bit however he missed so many including the would-be tackle on Ben Johnson that led to the Travis Cloke goal late in the Grand Final. Simply not good enough.

I saw him play a couple of really solid midfield games for us and always hoped he'd get to be something more than we got out of him. He was an old school mid and probably a bit like a less skilled Luke Ball. I can see him flourish at a new club with less emphasis on rigid structure. Ross's style did suit all players and he's one that went steadily backwards. I think people forget he was a good player in 09 and failed to keep going from there. Hope he gets heaps of the ball and can get another few years out of his career.

saw some really positive comments on mini by one of his team mates in a recent article.......the guy captained his state at both under 16 and under 18 level.......never saw the best of him under that prick who used to coach us.........seems he burned a lot of careers to further his own......oh well...we have a real attacking coach now......all good....hope mini becomes a really good footballer for the gold coast....
