Saintsational Margin Competition - WEEK FOUR
So an interesting round three of the competition saw a record equalling 22 competitors enter, of which a record seven posters tipped the opposition.
Expect that record to be smashed this week coming up against a hot Blues side.
Reminder of the scoring system below:
1 point - Winner of game
2 points - Leading goalscorer for St Kilda (bonus point for how many)
3 points - First goal scorer for St Kilda
4 points - Leading possession winner for St Kilda (3 bonus points for guessing correct number of posessions)
5 points - Final margin of game. (five points for within one point, double for hitting it exactly)
THE RULES:
Simple, nominate an answer for each question. Questions can have multiple answers for each so multiple people can pick a margin (since there's more points up for grabs)
The only other rule is (as indicated by highlighted parts) questions 2-4 are only for St Kilda, not including the other team.
LEADERBOARD
Some big changes this week with the biggest movers Sainter K, jumping up 7 spots into the top fifteen thanks to a correct guess of highest goalscorer and amount of goals and stevie who scored nine for getting most goals AND first goal AND most possies (missing the amount of possies by two) - becoming the first competitor to correctly guess three categories right in one week. stevie leapt from 24th to 3rd in a single week - a whopping 21 places!
TheJeff still stays in the lead, although the gap is closing with Griggsy and round star stevie hot on their heels, while felix and OneEyedSainter77 close out the top five.
Seven people correctly guessed the winning team although nobody guessed the margin - 35...LEGEND came closest with 38, two points away from at least the five points, three away from the perfect ten. Five posters correctly guessed Kosi to finish on most goals (a further two posters changed at last minute when Kosi didn't make the team intially) and three posters guessed him to finish with most goals. Three posters also guessed BJ to get most disposals, OneEyedSainter77 closest with a guess of 27 disposals (one off)
24 points - TheJeff
10 points - Griggsy, stevie
9 points - felix, OneEyedSainter77
7 points - james rose
6 points - matrix, whiskers3614
5 points - MCG-Unit, noddy04, bergholt, Eastern
4 points - SunburySaint, SainterK
3 points - ChelseaGuy, dragit, GoSaintersGo
2 points - saintspremiers, 35...LEGEND, dals da bomb
1 point - borderbarry, saintDal, saintkellerm, santazzi, Toy Saint, sendmehomehappy
Not putting my tips in for round four versus Carlton until later in the week when teams are announced.
Anyone game enough to start can go whenever they like.

1 - St Kilda
2 - Kosi (4)
3 - Roo (now that i've left Milne out, watch him get it)
4 - Dal seems to shake the tag every second week so I'll go him with (28)
5 - 17 points.
Two competitors this week so far - poor early showing but I reckon a lot are waiting for teams to be announced after last week's debacle.

Still a good three days to go to get your votes in guys. Think a lot of people will be waiting until the final teams are announced - some very fishy business going on with what's been said so far. And you just know another late change will eventuate.

Final teams are in 90 minutes prior to start time. As we can't trust Watters and his selections, only then will we know.OneEyedSainter77 wrote:Still a good three days to go to get your votes in guys. Re: Saintsational Margin Competition - WEEK FOUR
1 St Kilda upsets the blues...we will be the new fav team of the week
2 Roo is back to his best and kicks 5
3 Milne kicks the first and fires up the crowd & the team
4 Dal Santo - nobody can stop or touch him 32
5 what a win, it was close but the Saints held off with Kosi kicking the goal to win the game -3 pts
Okay that was my dream scenario....reality has kicked in.....
and I still won't change it
(is this positivity or stupidity?)

1 Carlscum - hate saying it.
2 Wilkes and Rooey - 4 each.
3 Milney 1st goal.
4 Goddard.
5 by 2 points.
2 Wilkes and Rooey - 4 each.
3 Milney 1st goal.
4 Goddard.
5 by 2 points.
Re: Saintsational Margin Competition - WEEK FOUR
I best get mine in today, because with the time difference I'll barely be finishing work when the ball is bounced.
1. Carlton
2. Wilkes - 3 goals (If he's not included and subject to a late change - Roo 4 goals)
3. Milne
4. Hayes - 30 disposals
5. 19 points
I'm hoping to reassert my dominance this week by way of hitting the post with the possession gatherer. Hopefully my tip/margin is incorrect and 10 goals in our favour!
Good luck everyone.
