Good call Punter. I'd like that too. (If Jimmy's not ready yet, then anyone who is prepared to be accountable comes in for Grammy :!: )

Also Wilkes and Ledger in for the very unlucky Polo and Blakey.

For mine, GOTTA' keep Sippa and Ahmed in. They are the future.

Farren as first emergency as a reward for effort.

That said, I reckon Sainter OK is again on the money with what will actually eventually happen. After all the usual selection red herring nonsense...

No Change.

Grammy on twitter about an hour ago - "Why is it as soon as u get a flu shot u get the flu? Who the hell invented it, #cantshakeit"
could we have something running through the club?

I thought Gram was in our top half dozen last week, and has been good since his return... Just a lot of automatic hate for him for some reason... If only our more average players performed at his level, we would be far better off...

No idea about the changes... I'd like to say Ledger in, but I have been hoping it every week for 6 weeks, so I may as well just skip it this week..

Saady needs another go, coming off the bench half way through the game can be a tough initiation.

Out: Fisher
In: Gwilt

+1.

Maybe Gwilt for Sippos; could allow Gilbert to move to a wing, and have Gwilty play back.

Regardless of what people thought of Siposs last week I think we've got to get away from dropping kids after one game.

And I seem to recall Arryn nearly won us this game last year

I see Blake, Jones and Polo get everything out of themselves. Then I see Gram.

As far as I see it in 2012, either youth or honesty. If you have neither, you are out of the team.

Grammy may not be 100% after a flu shot. That is common.

I love it how so many people get the flu yet aren't bedridden.

Because people call a cold the flu. I reckon if you really have the flu it is impossble to get out of bed. I have had it once in my life and it was the worst week you could imagine. I still remember it and it would have been 25 years ago.

Same P66.

I flippantly used the word flu for a cold, until about 5 years ago...hubby and I got hit with the real deal. Yuck, hopefully never again.

I remember just being able to get to the chemist, then we slept in the car for a couple of hours because the effort to go in left us broken.

I can't believe how much people cry out to 'play the kids'…

Then after only 1 game, and even half a game (including a great goal), we are now asking for Siposs & Saad to be dropped… Surely we'll give them a few like Newnes and Cripps before giving them the chop?

Out
Fisher, Polo,

In
Wilkes, Ledger

Kosi to unfortunately play more ruck with Stanley, Blake to the backline, and Wilkes at FF.

Not worth risking the quality of Gwilt unless he is 100% ready.

Polo was alright again, would just really like to see Ledger in the big leauge, for a whole match.

Regardless of what happened last year I reckon games should be earned. I like Sippos, reckon he has genuine talent, but he was poor last week and there are better options if we are actually trying to win games of football. And Saad had about 5 possessions in a half of footy, some of which he was on the wing for. Keep one but not both for this week. I picked Saad, could have been Sippos.

It's not primary school where participation is what's encouraged. In the big league games should be earned.

Fair enough, but the earning of the spot starts with the form at Sandy.

We need to consider the gains by allowing kids to settle into the side and adjust to the tempo.

And we don't want to give kids an opportunity only for them to stress out about whether they'll be given the flick 2 hours later.

Thanks Punter. I reckon that's soooo well put again.

IMHO Grammy comes across as soft, lazy and uncommitted. Yep he got 24 possies last week, but basically just drifted along in his comfort zone. On several occassions he could have run to add numbers to a contest, could have applied a shepherd or could have attempted a smother (coz he was close enough) - but he just spectated. :x

Then, like Punter, I go and compare that to the effort put in by far less gifted blokes like those listed above...

Until this year I've been a huge admirer, but enough is enough. This output and (seeming) attitude just isn't anywhere near good enough for a player who is soooo talented. For me it's put in, be a role model to the younger guys, or go and cruise around with Sandy.

Show the way Grammy, or get out of the way!
plugger66 wrote: I thought Gram was pretty good last week. Anyway he wont be dropped.
Hi Plugger, for the reasons listed above (and elsewhere) this is one of the very few times I can't share your assessment of a player. That said, I totally agree with your second statement... :(

And once again, Grammy, prove me wrong... please...

Completely agree Doc..assessing the benefit of a player must be done over at least 3 games. The quick draw/baptism of fire method for me is flawed and I can't see any advantages for the team going forward.
