Sounds on the money to me.plugger66 wrote:In
Wilkes for Fisher
Ledger for Saad
I suppose they are the outs then
We need Ledger's hardness to stop a few of Carlton's goals, and stem the bleeding of goals.
IF Ledger isn't picked, he must be in the bad books big time.
We are rooted this week regardless

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
out Milne
in Wilkes
reckon Milney could do with a rest, and Stanley to go into the ruck mostly changing with Kosi
don't think we will pull either Siposs or Saad as Watters has shown he will stick with a junior for a bit

Farren Ray would have to go close this week...................unless

unless Polo is injured, he won't be dropped.Beno88 wrote:In : Cripps, Ledger

Perfect player against the Blues - hard and experienced......sure, he's not that flash and no champion, but he's hard at it.

In : Ledger/Wilkes
Out: Fisher/Polo
While Polo is tough he offers little run which you need to counter Blues running brigade - Ledger offers tough & run and carry
Wilkes gives us some flexibility - worst case he helps out down back while Blake rucks or we swing him fwd at some point to mix attack
Cripps sub?

Not a fan of dropping kids after 1 game when we are supposed to be developing them.... can't see how that helps development.stkildathunda wrote:IN: Wilkes & Ray

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
I think we need to go back to 3 talls in forward line and with no McEvoy that means need to squeeze Wilkes in there again. Siposs didnt play as a forward and if your not going to play him there then he needs to come out for real tall forward that can kick goals.Teflon wrote:Not a fan of dropping kids after 1 game when we are supposed to be developing them.... can't see how that helps development.stkildathunda wrote:IN: Wilkes & Ray

Think Ray can play a role on one the Blues small forwards or maybe Gibbs. Has been in great VFL form so think he's ahead of Ledger. Saad is probably unlucky but not sure theres room up forward for him with 3 talls, Milne & Milera aswell.

Out Fisher (inj), Saad (did not do enough)
In. Wilkes (to play forward releasing Kosi and Stanley to ruck and Blake to defence)
Ray. Reward for effort at VFL.

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
It's weird they have Fisher as test, would he be so lucky to have escaped injury?
Would they really drop Saad after one half of footy?
If Scott keeps up with his sneaky selections
No change

Reckon it would be odds on that there is no change tonight. Its all about final teams for ScottySainterK wrote:It's weird they have Fisher as test, would he be so lucky to have escaped injury?

Scott has made a good point re the farce in having to name a final 22 two days in advance.
IMO it should always be a squad on 25 named each Thursday night with the final 22 and sub released 90 minutes prior.
Would make much more sense.
BTW is our mythical 22 named on Sunday arvo given it's a Monday game??

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
Here's what I'd like:
Fisher to come up. (Now listed as "test".)
Gwilt to be included.
Gram to be excluded.

Is Armo able to play this week? He looked pretty crook with his back.

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
Didn't Sam Fisher supposedly do a hamstring twice in 2010 (the game before he kicked the winner against WB and Round 22 before the finals), only to play the next week?SainterK wrote:It's weird they have Fisher as test, would he be so lucky to have escaped injury?

Maybe he's a quick healer? He has played 53 consectutive games.
Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
Think Saad will Stay.
I like the idea of sharing the Ruck between 3,
Think wilkes should come in running as a forward when Stanley & Kosi rucks, and runs to the backline when Blake rucks.
Siposs was poor but, he should stay for another chance.
Wouldn't be upset if milney was rested (although he did fire last year in our first game against carlton), however we really need alot of forward defensive pressure to stop Yarran and co...
So to simplify:
In - Wilkes
Out - Fisher
