Pretty poor effort from our senior players overall in the first half- took Melbourne too lightly from the first bounce and don't seem terribly interested in putting their heads over the ball. Even considering the rainy conditions, our midfield looks slow. I would have subbed Roo rather than Wilkes. Goodard needs a kick up the backside- not showing much leadership for a senior player. I hope they work a lot harder in the last quarter.

Just Goddard. Absolutely ineffective. Getting himself into scrags and losing his cool. He was lucky not to give away another free kick about 5 minutes before half time.
