Why? This guy seems to have some sort of information and it makes some sort of sense.

i think in this case it's traditional to ask what his source is. and then if he can't produce signed and sealed proof, to discount everything he says, right?plugger66 wrote:Why? Cracked them about being made sub in Round 2, didn't train properly in the week following, so was dropped for Round 3. Is probably a bit too aware that he's the best of the kids coming through. I like the club's speedy response to this - hopefully will be the rocket he needs.
No, this is definitely what happened.
But I wouldn't worry too much about him. It's very common - young player does well at lower level, gets a bit ahead of himself, gets slapped back down. Happens all the time, and I'm sure he'll be better for it.
I've been a bit perplexed for his exclusion, but if what you say is correct I'm fine with that
Bring back the Lockett era
Re: Ledger?
Missed out completely on selection this time. Being a midfielder, he is going to have to be patient, there's no room for him at the moment.
Could well be attitude/training

Always seems to take the mic off the older players when they're interviewing him for Saints TV. Dal normally just laughs and says "No take it mate!"
Also that joke he made about Newnes during the 1st year player inductions? Was not really audible, but drew quite the reaction from the players at the time.
These things have stuck in my mind I will say.
Thought at other times he's come across as really quite cluey. Let's hope he can work through this 'stage'.

I was not going to mention it however through the minute offerings the club provides us he seems like a kid that is full of himself.Quixote wrote:Always seems to take the mic off the older players when they're interviewing him for Saints TV. Dal normally just laughs and says "No take it mate!"

Like any workplace he will be slapped over the head sooner rather than later if this garbage continues.

I think someone in this thread told us why. No one else is going to know so I would go with him.

Re: Ledger?
If this is true then hopefully he'll come out of this even better and more mature. Hopefully it will be like the wake up call Stevie J got at Geelong a few years ago, for instance.
YOU GET WHAT YOU SETTLE FOR.

Something I've noticed for over a year. He'll get over it and be the great footballer he's capable of being.Middo wrote:Bernard Shakey wrote:The bloke appears full of himself, thinks he's The Joker.

Re: Ledger?
This "full of himself" stuff is nonsense. He proved in NAB Cup that he CAN play, all we want to know is what is holding them back giving him a go. Perhaps he'll have to wait for injuries to others as the season goes on to get an opportunity

Milney is far rom a bighead. He is very down to earth. And he has 240 more games on Ledger.

Re: Ledger?
If he has to pull his head in to get a game then that's what he'll do.
If he is a character with a bit of a voice then that's a great thing long term.
Makings of a great player IMO.

IF this is the case then ok, let him pull his head in.......but lets not leave it to long..its been 3 games surely hes deserved a game in that time...

Heck a bit of youthful enthusiasm doesn't go amiss. Showed plenty in his first 10 minutes against the Dogs... perplexing...
Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...

Bit of swagger sometimes isn't a bad thing.
Re: Ledger?
Saints lacked outside leg speed and longer kicking tonight. Surprised at all the guesswork above. Hayes is a fan I understand Laidley is the midfield coach I think so he'd have a fair say. Of course Laidley did such an outstanding job at Port last year (not) . The Port young guys seem invigorated with him gone this year. Anyway just a game. Who really knows ?
