We will get found out by teams forwards who have better forward pressure and teams that make us play for our poor kicking or their better disposal. We had it too easy in defence last night. The problems like we had at Port Adelaide will come when we face the teams like Hawthorn and Carlton. These teams won't allow us to just keep us chipping from side to side.

Against the Dogs, the Saints tackled well, had good pace and kicked accurately..........and they all contributed.....so why make changes? Jason Gram played well in the 2009 Grand Final, but not much since. Sippos is a promising rookie, and not a stand up start, Gwilt has missed a lot of football, and Schnieder can be in and out of the game - he has no right to replace Milera on current form

depth is apparent only so long as you're winning, unfortunately.

Everyone has forgotten Tommy Walsh.

The coach wont give him a go (and now its the Sydney coach!!!!!!)

Disagree, I don't need wins for depth, Terry Milera deserves his spot and can't be ousted. Newnes is getting the ball and using it well. Simpkin, Dempster and Blake are holding the backline together. Geary has lifted, Rhys doesn't deserve time in the twos. Archer is kicking goals as is Wilkes and can't even get a look in at a senior spot. Saad can't get out of the VFL. Tommy Walsh was our great hope and he wasn't demanding a spot and Cahill and co weren't exactly waiting to take anyones place off them either.

Gwilt and Schnieder will be straight back in when they're ready.

Where does Winmar sit in the pecking order?

Or Sebastian Ross? You'd think he'd at least get blooded this year....

The depth wasn't apparent in '09 and '10 when we were winning

Considering cuz of Cuz was reportedly the only "at ground emergency" for our game last week (against Gold Coast) I take it he was pretty close in the pecking order. If we'd had an injury in the warm-up, he'd have been in. But now he'll probably need more game time in the two's, to get his form and fitness back.

He's actually one that could potentially give us something later in the year, as he's a bit more mature (in terms of age and AFL pre-seasons) than the likes of Newnes and Cripps and has that bigger body (especially height wise), yet is probably just as fast as either of them (especially Newnes) and from what I've seen and heard, kicks it better than probably both of them. He looks to kick it a lot like Cuz, from what I've seen, with that low and fast penetration and accuracy.

He's been at the club a while now, so he ought to be pretty much ready to show something.

As for Seb Ross, it's a bit different for him, I reckon, as he looks to be mainly suited to playing in the guts and may have to wait until he's ready to play in the guts in a top 8 AFL side (which we are). The ones that play more "outside" are easier to hide in a pocket, or on a flank/wing, but I'm not sure he'd be as suited to that sort of role. I'd rather see the likes of Ledger, Winmar, or Siposs in that sort of outside role than Ross at this stage. Like Armo, who is another that is best suited to the guts, he might have to wait a bit longer for an extended run than some of the others, because of where he plays.

Gram is done for mine. Geary has his spot atm. He'll be off at the end of the season I think.
Gwilt is automatic as he stiffens our backline so will probably take Simpkin / Blakes spot.
Schneider is automatic and may take Milera / Cripps / Newnes.

Personally I'd like to see us keep rotating 1-2 youngsters every week and manage the older players, we need game time into the kids and would hope this remains the focus for the rest of the year

Hard to drop players when you ar ewinning by 10-15 goals, but looking forward…

Gwilt in for Blake when fit, Blake is defending well but I think we need to start replacing the poor kicks in the side, Gwilt is good defender and a very nice kick.

Schnieder is all class, would definitely offer more than Cripps at this stage…

Gram would also pip Newnes for output…

Ledger wants it so badly - has to take Polo's spot for mine…

Sippos not there yet, has to bang the door down or wait for another player to falter…

Interesting to see Milera playing not just up forward last weekend. When Schneider comes back, you'd think that for enough space for Milera/Milne/Schneider we'll have to see plenty of these players in other positions aside from up forward.

Down the track I can see Milne dropping out of the side once the likes of Sippos/Saad/Winmar put pressure on spots.

It's a good problem to have.

100% agree...

I'd like to see Sippos in there, but not at the expense of Milera or perhaps Ledger...

Blake needs to be eased out once Gwilt is fit... Simpkin is the future down back, and seems to be holding up ok so far... I'd give him the lock over Blake once factoring Jimmy back in...

What does Kosi have to do to lose his position to Wilkes or Archer? We all keep banging about older players not producing and giving the kids who are performing a go but he consistently has little output but is never mentioned. I believe our forward line would go to another level if we could get a more mobile tall down there, Kosi is never going to produce more than he does the other 2 possibly can?

I think Kosi has been good… 6 goals so far.

Wilkes is back-up at best and Archer would need to show consistent form at VFL before even entering the conversation for mine…

We clearly watch a different game. I think Koz has done little wrong this year. Clammed a few, kicked a few, smashed a few, field kicking has been terrific, pushing up the ground to create space and opportunities etc...

Has Archer got a touch? Has Wilkes done enough? I don't see the VFL games beyond the odd snippet, but can only suspect the answer to both is a resounding 'no'.

As it stands you are asking a B- to be replaced by a C-....

Besides, surely Sipposs is next in line.
