Easy in hindsight.................Kate wrote:Have to question the wisdom in putting him back on the ground.
would not have sent him back out if likely to further injure.............
appears to have happened 2nd time (according to coll F/M when interviewed on SEN
appears to be just bad luck that the 2nd injury happened.

He has resumed in his status as one of the games' best inside midfielders and the fact that Ross Lyon could somehow find a role in the team for retards like Andrew McQualter and Robert Eddy is nothing short of slander and pathetic as the latter two players always were and continued to prove to be completely retards.

Thing is that looking at him at quarter time and during that second quarter you knew that knee wasn't right. Bit like the injury to Roo in 2010. Roo had a niggle early on but came back anyway and lo and behold he snaps the hamstring off the bone soon after. I commented to a few people that I thought putting Ball back on was a stupid move that could turn out costly. Just hope for Luke's sake he recovers well, hate seeing any player out because of injury.

Yes, unacceptable language and discriminatory to be sure, but agree with the main point of the redeemr's post. Ball was not treated fairly in 2009, that is irrefutable.terry smith rules wrote:Mate unacceptable language, learn some manners and respectThe Redeemer wrote:He has resumed in his status as one of the games' best inside midfielders and the fact that Ross Lyon could somehow find a role in the team for retards like Andrew McQualter and Robert Eddy is nothing short of slander and pathetic as the latter two players always were and continued to prove to be completely retards.
Still, Ball will now miss 8-10 weeks (if lucky) and we know that he takes along time to resume from injury, despite his courage, so bad luck Collingwood.

Re: Ball acl
I felt we were betrayed by Luke when he left the club under the circumstances he did although things had apparently got so bad with Lyin that his only option was probably to move on. I don't want to rehash what's been written on this forum a hundred times before but I was especially ticked off by the fact that Collingwood had got a quality player for nothing and compromised the draft in the process the way they went about it.
Feel really sorry for Luke that he's done his ACL but I am absolutely over the moon that Collingwood has lost him for the year. It's those Karma Police at work again!

Oh stop getting all P.C for the sake of it. McQ and Eddy were awfully shithouse wastes of space? Is that better?samuraisaint wrote:Yes, unacceptable language and discriminatory to be sure, but agree with the main point of the redeemr's post. Re: Ball acl
I was surprised how shattered I felt for him when I saw him injured last night. He was by far my favorite player since he started, I used to be *Bally is best* on here...so it broke my heart when he went to the pies. I thought I was over it and didn't care about him anymore since the 2010 grand final, but seeing him injured last night I just felt so sorry for him such a nice guy and yes maybe he went for the money, maybe not, but it's still awful to see guys like him that just give everything for their team get injured.
will always be a saint...no matter what.

Yep, no worries mate, to be fair I actually agreed with your sentiments. No biggie.
And just heard - season over for Ball. Can't say I have a lot of sympathy due to all the Collingwood jeering when Nick went of in 2010.

Some of these post are a disgrace. This could happen to anyone including our own. I wouldn't wish misfortune on anyone. It's just a game..
Most St Kilda supporters are not like that and most posters would be ashamed of these posts. I know I am.

Seems a useless expense of energy getting so worked up about opposition players anyhow?
I like Luke, might not like how he left, but still wish he was at the Saints just the same.
