Gilbert is an anchor
Gilbert continues to be a major anchor for this Club to move forward. Has not learnt anything from his past and continues to
turn the ball over either directly to opposition or by poor disposal to team mates which causes turnovers. Not good enough at this level, I would rather let Simpkin have his spot . You can count on Gilbert to give up at least 2-3 goals per game . Not good enough ! His negatives far outweigh his positives .

Re: Gilbert is an anchor
Put him in the centre. With some rugby background, we might win some clearances. But all in all, it was not his fault entirely why we lost. It was our centre clearances, from stopages. Lets see us play against the GC Suns next week. It will be a good test to see where we are at, at the moment. Anything short from a 5 goal win will speak volumes.

Re: Gilbert is an anchor
Gilbert wasn't awesome but certainly wasn't disgraced last night. No Zac made us look worse and losing Gilbert would be like cutting a hole in a sieve. Backlines are under extreme pressure with presses and mistakes are more common. Port last year wouldn't chase now they keep coming.

I think you mean "ball and chain" rather than "anchor". The best field kicks need to be on the backline. He should move forward.
Re: Gilbert is an anchor
Id rather he kicks down the corridor than try to kick along the boundary when he is on a run, if he turns it over oh well, better than handing over to the opposition with an out on the full
