Port kicking with "a 2-3 goal wind"
And like usual Kane Cornes is tearing us apart.

Out on full by Fisher...when will it end?
We HAVE to get our better ball users delivering the ball into forward 50

Re: Game Thread vs Port Adelaide
I can only see stats but they suggest we're less direct and ineffective in clearances, but we have at least stemmed the flow of PA goals

Must be a howling gale. Two players unwilling to have a shot from within 50, putting it into the safe hands of CJ FFS

Re: Game Thread vs Port Adelaide
Nothing much has changed, we can't kick goals, we can't lay tackles, and we are applying no pressure at all.
Roo has had 4 possessions and has mucked everyone up.

Re: Game Thread vs Port Adelaide
We are getting absolutely smashed at the clearances, it is hard to watch
Kicking in defence needs to imrpove
Hopefully the mids start to get rolling in the 2nd term

Re: Game Thread vs Port Adelaide
Everything going Port's way, crowd really getting behind them.
Our players look frustrated and are not taking the game on.
We will lose this game the way we are playing

Seemingly stemmed the bleed a bit towards the second half of that quarter but our skills under pressure is poor. Kosi seems to be the only danger up forward. Roo and Milne missing.
Thats Mr. Smartarse to you

Re: Game Thread vs Port Adelaide
Too one paced. Foot skills an abomination. Second to the ball.
Port more desperate, and moving the ball on quicker.
Positives- Kosi looks the best he has in years
Someone asked how are the kids playing....what kids?

Bring back the Lockett era
Re: Game Thread vs Port Adelaide
Yeah with both sides forwards stronger than both teams defenses winning it out of the middle is pretty vital.Teflon wrote:One positive..... For the limited times weve gone fwd... We have scored.... It's the middle we need work
We will have the breeze in the second quarter so hopefully we can take advantage of it. The last 2 times we went forward we were unlucky to get goals. Need to make the most out of our opportunities.
Re: Game Thread vs Port Adelaide
Jack Steven worked hard. Easily our best. Gilbert also good down back.

Re: Game Thread vs Port Adelaide
Port far more desperate and going in much harder. We're constantly second to the ball. Kicking regularly very average again. Thank goodness for Kosi!

Re: Game Thread vs Port Adelaide
We also look slow, and both Stanley and Big Mac took good marks on the wing, then stood like statues, no urgency to move the ball on.

We are second to the ball why should we?bigcarl wrote:We've got nothing from the umpire so far
We constantly turn it over and have our best kicks like Goddard etc kicking out from full back....looks great on stats sheet..... totally ineffective.
You always know interstate the umps are horrid which is why you have to be first to the footy FFS
