Probably pretty close but looks slow.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

you gotta play the ones who are putting their hands up to be played. through no fault of his own saad hasn't been on the field, so i don't see how you can pick him ahead of those who've played four preseason games. but i hope he's pushing for selection from round one.

Looks pretty good, but I'm not sure about having both Cripps and Geary, or both Armo and Jones. Armo would want to show something significant next week, or at training, to get a game R1, from what I've seen. Siposs would also be a big chance, as would Saad.

FB: Dempster, Simpkin, Gilbert

HB: Goddard, Fisher, Gram

C: Montagna, Hayes, Armitage

HF: Schneider, Wilkes, Peake

FF: Milne, Riewoldt, Saad

Followers: Dal Santo, Jones, McEvoy

I/C: Kosi, Ray, Steven. Sub: Cripps or Ledger or Polo or Blake or Siposs or Geary... Gwilt will surely get a look in as well when he's ready to go.

Like the run in that side. Also like the ruck support available for McEvoy.

Simpkin at FB is probably the only iffy one...

I think the sub are right - these guys (SHOULD some of our kids show signs early) may not be the walk ups they have been in years past but they do offer experience to come in should any of the kids rapidly appear out of their depth.

For the life of me I can't understand how people can pick a team for a game without taking opposition matchups into account. Sure, the bulk of selections will be right but it will be the one or two selections that will irk people and that's becuase the coach has the opposition in mind..

One thing we need to look at when picking our team this year is midfield depth. It was a major weakness last season. Obviously Lenny out hurt us as well. Too much was left on the shoulder's of Dal Santo and Montagna. Steven and Jones gave good support. Goddard is more suited outside of the centre square. Hopefully Armo steps us as well as Ledger and Lenny will do the job. For us to improve in this area blokes like Peake and Ray need to be overtaken by more talented mids or we will lose touch with the contenders.

The other issue that needs addressing is our defensive pressure in our forward line. Since Mini dropped off form (and off the list) we've been poor in this area. Hopefully Saad is up to it. If nothing else but to lay half a dozen tackles in our forward 50. It was frustrating watching opposition teams run it out so easily last year.

Are any of the above teams put together based on the opposition in round one, being Port Adelaide? ... anyone can pick a team and brag about why this and why that.... How about we all think a little deeper and show some 'footy smarts/brain'.....

If that was the team then full forward would have to be Wilkes.

... after all, there's more than one string to our Beau...
