Our falling membership numbers and how to fix them!
If we want the mighty Saints to break the 40,000 membership barrier this year then we must win the NAB cup. Win tonight and then we should pick our best 22 from then on. The kids can play in the practice matches for Sandy.

Thanks Einstien. Win games, obviously people will join. Lose games and we will go down.

Bit uncalled for Clarky. Citywest is only trying to say we should be trying to win NAB games...

Re: Our falling membership numbers and how to fix them!
actually the easiest way to gain members is to convert supporters.
Give away memberships to supporters.
How??
Structure a sponsorship deal with say OPTUS or VODA or Telstra and market to our existing supporter base, use the 'churn' fee/commission to fund the membership cost.

Then those companies would make sweet FA out of the deal. It wouldn't work.goods wrote:actually the easiest way to gain members is to convert supporters.

Yes they would a 'churn' commission mean you move one customer from one carrier to another. So you take a captive audience ( Saints supporter base ) give them a genuine reason to move to an alternative carrier. And the Saints sponsor for example Voda gain new customers and hence new revenue = simple enough for you??

Engage the members chase new membership potential in area outside of the saturated Victorian Market plus I'm always a fan of the good old member get member idea all of us prob know at least 2 saints fans who are not members create an incentive to current members to sell memberships to friends who are not members ...

Re: Our falling membership numbers and how to fix them!
Am I right in thinking only FOOTSCRAY, NORF, and MELBOURNE have fewer members than us in Victoria?
You'd have thought that with:
- no KIm Duthie to deal with
- the daily puff pieces in the press
- the non-critique of everything St Kilda now that an ex-Pies man is in charge
- the future looking so rosy and hopeful
supporters would have flocked to renew their memberships and buy new ones.
I though all Sainters wanted to "draw a line in the sand" and be part of a future free of Ross Lyon?
