New Captain or not?
Still hasn't been announced yet
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: New Captain
Riewoldt has sad he is happy to step down if someone else is selected. As much as Roo is an absolute inspiration, and has done as much as possible for this club. I would not be one bit surprised to see BJ take the reigns, Lenny has shown you can be a leader of the club without the title, and if the captaincy is what BJ wants, and needs as incentive to stay at the club, then so be it. I wouldn't be surprised if he's already been in negotiations, and it's probably as simple as 'BJ we will give you the captaincy, in return you must sign a contract before the '12 season starts'. He's a player we cannot lose, Watters will know that, as will Roo. The whole will he, won't he sign a contract thing, as Ablett and Scully went through is not something we need. And if anything, it's a fraction less pressure for our champion CHF, and lets him focus more on his footy. BJ is easily my second choice next to Roo as well, he's a born leader, ferocious, confident and brilliant.

Re: New Captain or not?
I thought last weekend they were having an extended weekend-away love-in think-tank workshop to set goals and mission statements and standards - and appoint a captain?

I agree. If not Roo then give it to Kosi. Not to Goddard just to keep him happy.

I wonder if the probabls will captain on Friday- or would they change captains for each quarter. in the past they have swapped players during quarters let alone swapping at halves.
