In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

OK we should have a competition and try and guess what he'll say,like....

"Yeah I'm really enjoying at the minute and you really get to admire some of the guys close up like Milney. The boys are training real well and are looking forward to the start of the season. Everyone is fit at the moment and Lenny is training really well. Rooey has said that this is one of his best preseasons he's done in the last 10 years. We won't try and change too many things....."

"birth certificates are irrelevent, new coach new eyes, developing good people new development staff, list the new coaches and justify their appointment, Boo Schwartz, Hammer, Laidley etc." Looking forward to applying his style and result don't matter as much as development.

Two interesting answers.

Would not make a player captain just to keep him at the club. re BJ.

asked if he has the same coaching resources as his previous club......he said......he is happy with the new coaches....we are not in an arms race.

My brief notes. Will explain areas if ppl don't understand.

Asked about Chris Scott pressure for first year coach.
At a Leadership camp fri to sun - values leadership model
Asked about captaincy - Watters likes 1 captain - traditional
Asked about young blokes - Watters answered about mid tier. Montagna, gwilt Dal santo. Mid stage of career.
Said Newens, Ross leadership written on them.
Contested ball issue discussed
Asked about scoring. Said wants to be defensively good and offensively good. (obviously) wants to explore offensive opportunities.
Asked about resources. Said well resourced, coaching team setup is different to previous setup saints setup. Said he is comfortable about resources. Not always about having the most coaches.
Asked about Kossie in attack, and Roo closer to goal. Answered needs a multi pronged fwdline. Need Stanley to stand up and deliver. Good preseason. Siposs to step up.
Asked if hed make Goddard captain to stay? No. We will be aggressive in keeping him.
