Re: Forum upgrade
Thanks for the upgrade. I actually run my own clan forum for an rpg using SMF, and it is a pain to upgrade especially when they always release new versions. I have used phpBB but that was a long time ago - they have a nice finish to them. Can't wait to see that saints logo also.

Re: Forum upgrade
Thanks for putting some of the stickies in the announcement…
much better i reckon,
could we maybe have just one sponsorship thread?
also the DT & SC one could put in the opposition and general section?
cheers though, looks good

Re: Forum upgrade
There are 2 different sponsorship threads, as one is for the pledges. That will be gone once they are all sold and finalised.dragit wrote:Thanks for putting some of the stickies in the announcement…

The DT/SC thread will be gone when the season starts (as no more positions will be available).

Re: Forum upgrade
New Forum caught me by surprise. Not as easy to follow, however I suppose will get used to it - ie everything is "back to front". Not easy getting registration either - had to change email address and password from the old site, therfore have lost past post record.

I trust you are not doubting me Saintbrat cos thems are the facts. Perhaps you wouldn't mind using your power and influence in rectifying the situation for me?

Obviously you have done something wrong. There isn't any other poster on this site who had to do this.GoSaintersGo wrote:I trust you are not doubting me Saintbrat cos thems are the facts. Perhaps you wouldn't mind using your power and influence in rectifying the situation for me?

You Legends should be able to see from the database the problems I had. GoSaintersGo, registered in April 2006 I think, could only be accepted on this site by me changeing the email address (which I didn't want to do).
Just did a check - GoSaintersGo reg'd 29.04.2005 and showing 444 posts.

I wonder if it is people who hadn't logged on or posted during the last weeks prior to change over? or since the need to log int to read came into being?

So that's why my bookmark kept on pointing me to somewhere else...perfectionist wrote:Did the address just change from dotcom to dotnet?
Can't say I'm too fond of the new design, but I'm guessing it's only temporary? I wouldn't mind having a shot at adding some life to it, but I'm bit busy at the moment.
Re: Forum upgrade
The default theme will be changed to the Extreme Dark Red this Friday as voted for in the poll about half way down the page. The forum link will correct itself shortly as it takes a little while for changes to propagate. Basically it was pointing to the old hosting account which is now inactive, it will soon point to this one.

I don't suppose it would be possible for one of you computer savvy experts to rectify my situation, particuly getting back to my email address and post record etc. instead of having to use my wife's addresssaintbrat wrote:HSVKing wrote:Obviously you have done something wrong. Legend only in name not as part of SS admin.
seems like posters systems are graduallly filtering over from the old files- as explained by battye- would take time - there is quite a bit of information. several are now saying they can log on again.
nice to see so many keen to 'stay in the' saintsational file family..
for all the moaning and groaning people keep having a 'peek'

Just used the personal message system for the first time since the upgrade. MUCH more readable and user friendly.
