Re: Intra Club Pre-season Match
They had better release the details SOON. I don't want to head off in the WRONG direction. I have a driving test job that should be finished by around 3.00pm, so a 5.00-5.30pm start at Moorabbin, Seaford or Frankston would suit me just fine !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Cant be Seaford as they cant really cater for a crowd with no toilets!! Reckon Moorabbin or Frankston are front runners, most likely Moorabbin to keep those guys happy!! Or potentially Sandringham actually!!Eastern wrote:

Alwaays enjoyed the intra-club match, Unfortunately its on the wrong day this year (our Golden Anniversary). I dont believe I would be very popular if I drove down to Melbourne that day,

Re: Intra Club Pre-season Match
Well, seeing that it's a 9.30am start I might have to cancel morning lessons on that day so that I can head down for a look-see. Anyone else planning on heading down? !!

Re: Intra Club Pre-season Match
Clearly the 9.30am start at Seaford means its just another open training session that happens to
be a match practice.
It's not designed as a several thousand turnout thingy which the Social Club could use to raise some cash.
Pity they couldn't do it at 5 or 6pm at Frangga Oval instead and make it
a real event.
In any case I can't make it, but neither will many at that time and location given school is back now.

It cant be any later as all the players have a pre-arranged corporate function they have to attend. They then have the community in week or so. It is the only time availabe to have it before the NAB Cup. So if its either 9.30am or no Intra Club game again, which if that happened everyone would complain about that.

Re: Intra Club Pre-season Match
Thanks for all the ideas people. I ran them past my wife and suggested it would be a good way to avoid all the relations etc that were coming up here, but she was not impressed. Oh well, I hope it is a good game any way.

My anniversary falls in mid March so at least, like you, it's only the pre season that's at risk.
Could be a lot, lot worse
