battye has a link on the other thread for anyone who wis able to have a go at changing this style to Red White and BlackStGoddard18 wrote:Thanks for that saintbrat much easier to read nowsaintbrat wrote:Go to control panel and change to prosilver in place of prosilver red

Anyone can help with the colour scheme. If none of the styles on that demo above take your fancy, go to http://www.colorizeit.com/browse/4/phpb ... tyles.html and start adjusting the colours until it matches something you like. For example, you can go to http://www.colorizeit.com/styles/phpbb- ... izeit.html and adjust the colour scheme by moving the sliders.
Post a screenshot of your result (and save the package by downloading it so you don't have to re-do it), and if it gets a few positive responses then I'll install it. Again, anything that says version 3.0.10 will comply (ie. "Software versions: 3.0.8 - 3.0.10" is fine, "Software versions: 3.0.8 - 3.0.9" is not).

Re: New site difficult to read!
There is not enough delineation between posts and signatures. It all seems to blend into each other.
It just seemed a lot easier on the old site

Re: New site difficult to read!
But I do love the fact that you cannot inbed quotes more than 3 layers deep.
That stops all those innane posters (we all know who they are) who persist in quoting in full their vacuous reponses to their vacuous responses to their vacuous responses ....

Re: New site difficult to read!
Agree this new format is difficult to read. Where is the red white and black. Can we please take a look at it again and get something that is going to work well with everyone. Thumbs down to this format guys.

If is it so much easier on the old site like you stated and this site is so disastrous well go post on that site...
How about the positives of this site... How about the time and money and effort spent to address the previous whinging about the site being down....
No the human race must whinge at everything. And yes you can comment, as can i.

Re: New site difficult to read!
Who said it was disastrous? I commented on a particular aspect - readability- which I thought was better on the old site. I'm sure the designers welcome constructive feedback.

The dude with the wig is Mozart. I am male but you don't want to make assumptions. I also wanted to see how far you can go with nested quoting. (and it won't let me do it )SainterK wrote:Ah to be honest, I didn't really look who posted in my haste to burn Spinner.kosifantutti23 wrote:I'm obviously male?SainterK wrote:

BTW I bolded your use of "He" but I can't see that it makes any difference on screen.

I know who it is
Point taken, I've been called he on here plenty of times, so should not make the same error...
Even though I didn't, and you're a he.

Re: New site difficult to read!
if you think its better then ok
if you dont then ok
whats the problem
we arent open to criticism??
whats changed?
not much imo
avartars are to the right
theres a report button and you cant excessively quote
its a free template and this host would not have cost much more than what some posters donated on their own last time
if that offends those that did the work then sorry
but thats how i see it
i still post here, but imo nothing has really changed and i didnt think it would when questions kept getting asked by numerous people about what options there were
good on ya's for doing what you all did, prob took a bit of work
but this couldve looked friggin schmicko as hell for not much more money
2cents

Couple of other things....matrix wrote: whats changed?

You can ignore posters, that is something alot of people were asking for. Nobody has to say 'I'd post on here more often if it wasn't for so-and so' because they can self moderate. Just add them to foes, and they're gone.
So far I haven't had it lock up like it used to all the time, no critical errors, so if it doesn't do that long term = win
You can delete posts again.
Oh....and you can let's not forget

A very vanilla looking site
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

oh boo hoo. It's a lot easier to read and doesn't leave you with white lines searing your eyes for 10 minutes after leaving the computer, but we are creatures of habit.
