It's about their work ethic ! There is no way either Raph or X have prepared themselves well enough for AFL football. It is something that has taken Armitage a long time to come to grips with also. Winmar will take time to develop but whether he is worth persisting with I dont know.
Its a shame clubs cant move players from the Senior list back to the rookie list, as he and Crocker I would move back to give them time to develop their bodies and reward a performing rookie players.

Goddard a few years back said in the media that Raph needs to apply himself more on the track. I don't have the link but I reckon there would be a few on here that remember the interview that could corroborate the story.
There has been rumours going around since Armitage was recruited that he is lazy on the track.
Not sure about X Clarke or Winmar though.
I would say blokes like Ball and Kosi and probably X Clarke are victims of poor fitness management that we copped in the Grant Thomas era.

Doc. You are certainly one of the good guys on this forum but I've seen you roll your eyes at those that start arguments or have a dig for no apparent reason. I don't see that any differently than me putting it into words.

We have moved a few players back to the rookie list over the years, Mini being a prime example.
Nick has just been signed to a two year contract, why would you want to send him to the rookie list?
If you're talking about work ethics, how is Kosi still on our list?
