A diffficult one as we are all different ages, different perceptions.
I'll throw in a few more:
8. Glenn Elliot (apologies to Max). Glenn was a brilliant centre. Able to get high 30's or 40 odd possessions a game.
27. George Young. A calssy forward
29. Russell Greene. Still miffed with him being traded.
60. Robbert Mace. Although he ended up playing in 7, he was as good a number 60 as we ever had.

I am still hurting from 71;
my gut churns thinking of 97;
2009 was agony,
2010a was a pleasure to watch only to be devastated by 2010 b.
It hurts barracking for the Saints

Spot on, IMO Doc was the greatest Saint adn Plugger teh greatest #14.Bernard Shakey wrote:You cannot leave the Doc out. Plugger won his Brownlow in the #14, and he was a much better #14 than Luke Ball.
And I might humbly suggest that the following from our golden Premiership era are greater than those you've nominated, plus a couple more from the 70's/80's off the top of my head:-
Alan Morrow in #8
Ian Synman in #9
Brian Sierakowski in #13
Ian Cooper in #15
Travis Payze in @20
George Young in #27
Darryl Griffiths in #27
Robert Elphinstone in #33
Wayne Judson in #42
What # were Brian Gleeson, Bill Young, Neil Roberts and Eric Guy?
And surely there has been a better #17 than Rod Keogh?
Rodney Galt????
