Now that would be a quick forward line....
At some stage in 2012...or 2013 one might see:
Milera Roo Peake
Saad Stanley Markworth
Which would be one quick forward line.....

Not even in the NAB???elizabethr wrote:Purely fanciful...wont happen.
But is it really fanciful?
Roo is a given.
Peake is likely to be in your 22.
Saad looks good enough to play Round 1.
So that leaves ;
* Milera...will be 24 by the time the season starts.
* markworth..will be 20 by Round 2.
Now Schneider and Milne will be core to our forward line in 2012...but both will be rotating.

Re: Now that would be a quick forward line....
It might be quick but I would have thought a forward line which scores the most goals and prevents the ball escaping would be of greater benefit than quick.saintsRrising wrote:At some stage in 2012...or 2013 one might see:

Maybe Peake could be dropped to Sandringham, but I can't see Riewoldt being dropped to join the others, so it won't happen.

For relentless forward pressure - chasing, harassing and tackling .. you need quick players.
6 quick forwards is better than only 1 or 2 quick forwards that we currently have.
Our current forward line isn't kicking enough goals - but it also doesn't apply enough forward pressure and allows the easy rebound which results in more goals to our opposition.
so it's good to dream about a quick forward line .. on the other hand be careful what you dream, as it may come true ??

Milne, Schneider and Saad that's 2 small forwards too many .. I reckon.Foz wrote:Or we could go a mix of talls/speed/crumbers in the forward line - Roo, Kosi, Stanley / Milne, Schneider, Saad
and have it delivered lace out by our (potential) elite kickers on a wing -Sipposs, Winmar, Crocker, Seb Ross
I hope we rotate them through one at a time... and they can spend time in the midfield too.
For balance we need 2 quick medium sized forwards.
