The same can be said about some of our players in GF1 that didn't do enough on the day to contribute to the success of the team. Arguably they were the main reasons for us not winning a premiership. To blame Max for us not winning a flag is drawing a very long bow. By saying Max was responsible for 'St Kilda' not winning a flag about sums up the unrealistic expectation that sits on Nick Riewoldt.

I like how the article mentions his kids were Saints fans all along. I remember seeing Max at a game in 2010. He was with the wife and kids and they were all decked out in red, white and black. It's great that they remained loyal to St.Kilda, even with Max working for Eddie's Evil Empire.
I reckon he's got that true grit about him.
