I love the way we are getting StKilda people back to run the club.

I don't care how much people say the game is totally professional these days and we should just get the best available coaches -

I just love that instead of a bunch of "outsiders" sitting in the box we will have some guys
- who love this club
- bled for this club
- gave their all for this club
- really care about this club
- and really hurt when we lose.

As opposed to career coaches without any real emotional involvement, using our club as a stepping stone to bigger things.

Welcome back Aaron, TS40, Maxy and Tony Brown.
Really gives a good vibe to get StKilda people running StKilda.

With most other clubs overseas, and the Saint's new open door media policy e are getting an amazing amount of coverage of late.

Hopefully this can transform into increased membership sales.

Certainly beats the "Lovett" and "St Kilda School Girl" headlines that haunted our preparations a yearish ago.

It's very positive "build the brand" stuff. Good for Club, the supporters and positive media opportunities, as we are seeing.

Sammy's business is a very successful one - he has been extremely busy. Fortunately he now has more time available to get back down to help us out.

Yep, it does mention is business. It's going well? Point being, Aaron isn't doing this out of the goodness of his heart. He will probably be well paid as you would expect. History would suggest $$$s are a very large motivating factor in anything he does.

well obviously he's not doing it for free or because he's just a plain super guy

A couple of months after suggesting that he felt more Carlton than Saints... he's back here.

I'd say given his credentials, we weren't the first club to approach him... it's just nice that he's back here though. Nice that he is happy to be back at the club... one always got the feeling that his forced departure left a pretty nasty taste in his mouth

Pretty obvious you don't like Hamill then......

As a part-time assistant coach he will not be on big $$$.

Basically it is the Head Coaches who get the big bucks. Assistants, and particularly part-timers like Hamill are doing it because they either want to get on the path-way to being a head-coach, or enjoy working in a football environment....or both.

I personally hope that he is on a reasonable earn, relative to his duties. I mean do we really only want "cheap" staff at our club?

Great to have Aaron back. In so many ways he was the man who either invented 'forward pressure' or simply personified it. He really thrashed his body on the field and his commitment was always 100%. I recall watching him at ground level and wincing at how hard he hit any 'body' that was between him and the ball.

It will be tremendous to have him looking after Stanley, Siposs and the other players who may rotate in that forward line. I am liking the combination of Laidley, Max and Aaron, shaping the mids, backs and forwards. All determined hard nuts with a great deal to offer.

was talking with some mates the other day about the positive press StKFC is getting - the point was raised that Lyon's bastard act has actually made the club look good, dignified yet hard done by and worthy of good press

I must admit if this is true, it smacks of the old "feel sorry" for St Kilda, but it's certainly a different feeling out there atm
