Not irrelevant at all laddie. A genuine question. Anybody remember where Kosi was playing when he had that great streak? I am pretty sure he may have been acting Captain as well.

He played mainly in the ruck and rested forward. CHF or FF dont really exist.

Well lets just see who is right. I agree though I cant stand seeing a adult footballer being hit like that. It is so mean.

It might be worthwhile to play Kosi at CHF with Roo at FF. Might solve Roo's kicking problems too if he is playing closer to goal.

One thing you were right about P66...

our opening combination.....Warner was on his way to a hundred, pity we only had to make 18...still couldn do it nought down.....

anyway....let that one go through to the keeper eh...

Oh, and yes it could be managed to move Kosi back (on a resting ruckman) in a game without breaking structure......as Watter said, he cannot have a team without flexibilty..

Wilkes fwd/Kosi back or Blake on the ball/Kosi back or go small fwd/Kosi back or Sam Fisher in the middle/Goddard fwd/Kosi back or Sam Gilbert fwd/Kosi back and so it goes....there is a multitude of ways....

Kosi played one of his best games post 2005 on Jono Brown in Brisbane....they had a great tussle...and he did pick up an ageing Trerea subsequent to that and did OK......but in 2012 you would suggest his time as a CHB is well gone, he just would not have the engine.....having said that, on thing Kosi does do well is read the ball coming into defense...and of course, he is still a wonderful contested pluck

Have no idea what you are on about with Warner. Maybe you could explain? And why mention Kosi in 2005 and then argue against it. You are now arguing against yourself. The more the say the stranger it gets.

Dont you remember our little discussion on cricket last week...when you attempted to mock me (as usual) when I critisised selection of two guys who have suspect techniques....

But Warner...

Well he was 12no (off 4 balls)....at that rate 100 coming up off 34 balls...so he was indeed a good selection....and that opening partnership was a real winner....they will get another crack in Hobart, and as I said they will come off 25% of the time, so expect one exciting opening to an innings....

But you back the selectors in, because they must be right.....as we have seen in the last 2 years....

On Kosi.....I dont think he can play as a out and out defender, but unlike you...do not condescendingly dismiss the notion as impossible....and provided examples of the past when he has gone back.....and even though it is unlikely, it is not unthinkable...

Sorry but when people say those days are well gone and he wouldnt have the engine that sounds like you are completely writing it off. How silly of me. I should have thought that means only unlikely. Strange but I would have used that word.

As for Warner I still have no idea what you are on about. I remember you saying both openers will fail 3 out of 4 and I remember you only giving us one replacement and that was for Warner. I then pointed out that you only gave us one replacement even though the other opener will fail 3 out of 4 times. It seems Hughes failed twice but I still dont get your point about Warner. You were the one happy to keep Hughes who failed twice. Strange that would bring it up. Maybe it is your way of again arguing with yourself. The more you write the more confusing you are. You didnt teach comprehension at school I take it?

Unless I'm missing something, Kosi doesn't have the athletic capacity to keep up with today's forwards.

He doesn't have a burst speed. His wonderful 2001 season, when he was brilliant at CHB, is now 11 years ago.

If his body is in peak condition, he can return to the forward line. If not, he can float between the forward and the ruck.
If not he can float around at Sandy

You are confused arent you....me im not

but of course thats my fault isnt it, but you do realise comprehension often falls to the reader and their ability to understand (in this case) a written piece of text.....so the fact you could not decipher something surely says more about your comprehension....

if you were trying to sledge me....really you should have gone with articulation or eloquence or enunciation....and maybe you be more accurate...

Now.....my argument that going with two suspect (aggresive) openers who lack consistency due to poor defensive technique or mindset being a poor selection, is surely not too hard to digest - unless you are limited in knowledge....

One is infact quite normal.....Sehwag, Slater, Greenidge, Hayden, Simpson, Stackpole, Anwar, Watson, Gibbs....would you loke more????
but what is also very normal is a conventional partner....and generally leads to a successful top order
...Gambir, Taylor, Haynes, Langer, Lawry, Redpath, Sohail, Katich, Smith

BTW - I did provide you with the answers you seeked.....even before you asked, but you COMPREHENSION was lacking.....

and of course you know - I did teach PE.....so my strengths lie elsewhere...not articulation (or as you called it 'comprehension')

where are your strengths again???

If being an arrogant, argumentative, know all **** is a skill.....I suppose you can hang your hat on that....

Yep but your point about Warner is just silly. Firstly not once did I say he should be in the side so I have no idea why you mentioned his name to me today and secondly the one you said should stay failed twice so again I ask why did you mention Warner.

By the way did your wife tell you what to write in the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs or did she actually wite it for you because you usually write like me. Someone with about 5th form English.

My wife hates SS and has NO interest in my squabblings with you.....she is an amazing woman though....and outdoes me by a margin....

Id tell you what she does for a living to illustrate the point, but that would be a continual source of material for d***s to use, like they do with my previous job.....which I never understood

I should really endeavour to do my best literary work on an internet forum though.....Maybe It would help you comprehend better...

and

If you are poorly educated....im sorry....I can assure you, I am not....

Of course you arent poorly educated. And of course you were a very good sportsman. I dont know how we know. Maybe someone tells us a bit. By the way i aint poorly educated. I find common sense the most important education in life and that I have plenty of. Cant say the same about others though. Please pretty please tell us what schooling you did. I know you really want to.

I know you played VFL and the ammos a grade at that and other clubs. Cant remember who they but I am sure you will remind us again. And I wish I knew more about you too. it would be a pleasure to have a drink with you. I think Mr Siposs and Joffaboy said the same. And I actually common sense not that common. And I actually said I had plenty of common sense. Cant remember using intelligence.
